Group 3 looks like the famous group of deathwhats the odds on senior A league teams finishing 1st & 2nd
Yeah, but think of the ticket revenue the County board will generate. I heard they set the prices at £8 a game for the group stages until some of the club delegates objected. So group winner goes through and all the 2nd & 3rd teams go into another draw for a final play off - seems a long winded way of getting to quarter finals. Hard to know how much championship intensity there'll be in the groups.
And that's the way it should be because the club delegates are the county board.Yeah, but think of the ticket revenue the County board will generate. I heard they set the prices at £8 a game for the group stages until some of the club delegates objected.

So the county board set prices then the county board objected and the county board followed the vote
£5 for group gamesSo what entrance fee did they decide on?
My point being the people who made the original decision, the 'top brass' intended to try an fleece the average fan by trying to charge £8 for what is essentially a glorified league game. And that's the way it should be because the club delegates are the county board.

Personally I don't even think it should be as high as £5, it should be £3 as even thought it's a championship game they don't bother to provide neutral linesmen or umpires.
Was £13 into the hurling finals at the weekend, steep enough if you ask me, hopefully it comes down for the replay
This was my thinking exactly, it would be hard enough to convince some hurling people within the county to pay that into a county final never mind non hurling fans. That's mad.
You're more likely to get some neutral or non-hurling fans in the gate if you had it reduced.
Say, a man taking his two young kids in to see the county hurling final and only costing him £5. Getting youngsters immersed and interested in the game. What's the point having a few hundred fans from the two teams involved paying £13? And the rest of the county staying away. Ridiculous.

4 teams was it not?
