Hard luck to Granemore, Cross is just full of ridiculous talent.

Thought Ryan Rafferty put in a great shift for Granemore - great footballer.

Good to get that won. Players won with a bit to spare and still have a lot to improve on. Granemore tried very hard and didn’t lie down but the gap in quality was there to be seen. They have a few handy players but they needed all to bounce for themselves today for it to work.

A note on the ref. Well done in the way he handled the game today. It was a reasonably easy game to manage I’d say as both teams just wanted to play football and there wasn’t really any controversial decisions that had to be made but he reffed it fairly and consistently and that’s all that can be asked of any ref.

Anyway, roll on Ballybay. Saw a few of them sitting down below me and it will be interesting to know what they made of it. We have a few weaknesses but have improved game on game. Nothing really to lose now and the carrot of playing Kilcoo should be strong motivation for either side. Will be tasty

Saturday November 5th

Shane O'Neills vs Corduff
7:15pm
Crossmaglen vs Ballybay

Sunday November 6th

Cross going to be hard stopped and obviously they’re not looking past Ballybay yet but I’m sure they would love a cut at Kilcoo.

Would imagine Corduff and Letterkenny would be strong enough but its been too long since Armagh teams have done anything in Ulster at intermediate or junior so lets hope that can change this year

Corduff are decent but they were lucky to beat Magheracloone yesterday. Banty will set them up very defensively and look to hit Keith McEnaney on the break. Like Shane’s they won it with a late goal and have a few handy players. They’ll be hard to beat but are not unbeatable.

I suppose Cross will be big underdogs against Ballybay either way ;)

Is it true that Aaron Kernan has 17 senior county championship medals?
Amazing if so - not to mention his Ulsters and All Irelands with Cross.
And then there are his medals won with Armagh - All Ireland u 21, a number of Senior Ulster's and National League medal (2008?).

Anyone able to list his total haul of medals?

Some player - one of Armaghs greatest ever.

What an amazing player he’s been. Must be second to only Paul Hearty at this stage

Yeah yesterday was 17 I think. Absolute class act on and off the pitch and still a superb player

Google is your friend!!!

Legend is sometimes too easily given out but he is a true legend. Absolutely top class on and off the field (as the whole family are in fairness). Had the pleasure of playing with him for the first 5 years of his senior career. Funny he started as a number 10/11 in his debut season and struggled badly. When he went to 5 he found his feet.

Think he is second only to big Hertz when it comes to medals. He has to manage his runs these days but when he has the ball he is imperious. Has looked fresher this year than the last few years and particularly in the last few games. No coincidence that we have played better
