With the best will in the world I don't see how you'd have Madden shorter than Cross. I think they will narrowly get over a Maghery side who have plenty of Championship medals in their ranks and won't take a beating from anyone. Madden by 1-2

Hoping we can run Clann Eireann close on Sunday! A tough ask with their quality but we will give them plenty to think about. I would say @winsamsoon that if Clans have been capable of getting close to them in recent years then there is no reason we can't. Being realistic I think that a youthful Killeavy side still won't have quite enough in the end. CE by 2-3

St. Peters have been something of a surprise package so far, but I would imagine Cullyhanna have a bit too much scoring power and will not be complacent. Cullyhanna by 2-3

I think Cross will win comfortably against a fairly young Cruppen side. Cross by 8+

I have Madden shorter than Cross mostly based on the latter league performances when Cross was still in the hunt for the title, they ciuldn't put away a harps team, albeit it they were fighting for their lives. Cross were also under welcoming against a Silverbridge side who are very ordinary. Madden were impressive against the Harps in the last game and are very potent up front and strong around the middle and if anyone is going to catch CE out then it could potentially be Madden IMO.

CE are by no means a team of all stars but they are strong all over the pitch and well drilled. In reality I think our lads overachieved in the previous two years and maybe got a slice of reality this year. The semi final that we beat CE it took an exceptional performance from Stefan and I can't see anyone of that quality in the current Killeavey team. I don't mean this with any disrespect and it would be fair to make the point that Killeavey were able to curtail him well this year.

I don't really want this to turn into a debate even involving the Clans because they are no longer involved this year. Killeavey are young for sure and going in the right direction, I just wasn't blown away with them in the games that I have seen them this year, they did perform well against a dogged Mullaghbawn team in the qualifier. It's a game of opinions and I have probably been wrong more than right, the weekend will tell the tale.

St Peter’s will be kicking themselves having done so much right in normal time. If they can keep their squad together and add some minors they have coming through they will give the intermediate a good rattle next year.

Cullyhanna are just never beat but have frailties in the middle of the field and they won’t get off the hook with a similar performance in the semi final. That said Nugent had a rare off day in front of the posts and having had a disjointed group run due to the delayed second game they will probably take a lot from turning that game around.

Jason Duffy was mighty for Cullyhanna, the young lad McKerr from St Peter’s was very good also.

Great start to the quarter finals.

Frustrating one. I’d imagine one or two will call it a day but as you say, keep the core of the team and have a good chance to bounce back next year.

Apart from Mcconville, Findon, Haughian, that’s a young team out on the pitch.

17 I think is Mckerr? He’s got some future ahead of him. 5 had an off day for his standards as it’s normally him and McDonald running things.

Few questionable decisions but it’s done now and won’t change anything.

Do Armagh TV not do a deal for both games, can only see an option to purchase individually @£8 per game

Didn't see an option for the double header. Would have made more sense than the four match package. Not everyone could manage to (or in my case, allowed to) watch four games in a row.

Killeavy battled back well but Clann Eireann too strong, turned out a decent game, thought after 20 minutes it would be a whitewash

Looks to be the 4 best alright, I was impressed with CE in the first half but they were hopeless in the second half, although they never looked like losing it. Why o why didn't someone shoot with that last play.

I will go for Cullyhanna to chin Cross and CE to chin Madden

The St Pats v St Peters match on Friday night was hugely enjoyable. St Peters will kick themselves, as they looked to have it wrapped up when leading 0-16 to 1-6 but fair play to Cullyhanna who mounted a great comeback to snatch a draw. That they did was thanks to a sensational two pointer that brought them back to within a point, and I'd have to say, from where I was sat, looked wide. But the umpire seemed confident in his decision. St Peters tried to run down the clock late on, but worked themselves into a number of tight situations and were overturned on more than one occasion. There was no way back for St Peters in extra time. A mention also of a brilliant goal from Ross Mc Quillan who scored from fifty plus yards, having spotted the keeper off his line.

Cruppen gave it their all in the second quarter final, on Saturday night, but ultimately fell to the better team, although they can leave with their heads held high. Cross for me are increasingly looking to inspirational individuals to get them over the line, and in particular the O'Neills and Cian McConville. However the best player on the pitch was Blaine Hughes, who must have scored in and around 0-7 and denied Rangers with three or four brilliant saves.

Only saw the second half of the Maghery v Madden game. Maghery seemed to make a great comeback, and when they scored their goal to go 4 up, they looked to be almost assured of victory. However, fair play to Madden. They never panicked and showed a lot of composure to work the points to win the game. Not for the first time in this Championship, Darragh McMullan was excellent, as was O'Keefe for Maghery. In such a tight contest, the absence of Aidan Forker was huge.

In the last game, Clann Eireann progressed as expected, although Killeavey - despite a poor first half - never threw in the towel and pushed the Champions the whole way. Indeed, in the closing stages they came looking for a goal that would have won the game. I have to say that I had a sense that Clann Eireann were cruising coming up to half time, and maybe were guilty of getting complacent and overplaying the ball which allowed Killeavey to rally. They looked far from unbeatable last night, and that might be a good place for them to be, heading into the last four.

On what you have seen @Rufus T Firefly who are you seeing winning it? I know I get slagged for always putting us down as losing it but I can only see a CE win. We are 2-3 short of pushing through and looking too individual as you said. Great players but not quite clicking. CE looked a better balanced set up
