That damn back door

With the football club championships now completed for another year, let's turn on the "back door" or qualifiers in the championships.

Now rumour has it that there is a discontent among delegates and a true movement towards getting rid of the system. Not before time. The games finally became competitive when it got to the knock out stages. The "them'uns" games played in AG were competitive if not a great standard. It was also great to watch them knock the bejaysus outta each other, but that's another story.

Make the games competitive again and the attendances will be reflected. Neutrals will go to meaningful games.

While they're at it, get the pricing right. £5 is more than enough into early rounds, £8 for double headers and Semi-finals and £10 for finals. U16 free until maybe a final and then £2 only. It's ok for someone like me that works and doesn't have a couple of kids, to be able to pay in, but it's really unfair on bigger families. Those that make these decisions aren't really struggling for a pound so don't see it. Our county is fabulous. Let's vote it back to reality!
