This game was a product of the manager I feel. Armagh were easily the better team in the first half played against 14 men for the whole of the 2nd half & didn't go for the game- too much slow lateral passing. Then didn't score at all in the second half. We were 3 behind in ET and at one stage there was not a single Armagh player in the Tyrone half. Another opportunity missed

What am I on about? You think 5 points with the breeze is a good return for a half of football at inter county level? And read the last bit - not a single score in extra time. 8 points in 80 mins of football

A very poor performance on Saturday - a squad who have the footballers but sadly seemed to massively be lacking along the line.
Thats exceptionally harsh
In normal time only for a poor goal being conceded they would have won
I'm told that the Tyrone u20 team were strong a few years ago at minor
In ET tyrone took their chances

Ah now Joe. Surely you know by now!
The minors have poor management, the u20s have poor management, the senior Footballers have poor management, the Hurlers have poor management! All managers should be stood down and let the players get on with it and sort themselves out. Sure they don't make mistakes. That goal was a management call. Same as the penalty yesterday for the senior footballers. Hurlers only won because they ignored the manager and scored a point more than Louth!

2mins into game and 2 points on the board - failed to score again until 21mins. poor system in place.
Lateral and backwards passing throughout when opportunities to attack were most certainly on.
Scored 3 points early into second half and retreated back into a stupidly defensively game plan with little to no plan of attack.
Played the 15th man in a defensive role making him ineffective consequently leading to numerous missed opportunities for break ball possession in midfield in a game where the majority of Tyrone's kickouts where played towards the same man on the same wing.
Failure to spot where Tyrone robbed their team and game plan off a man when they lost their man and not able to exploit that gap.
Playing a highly regarded upcoming player in a position that I've yet to see him play in and then substituting said player.
Bringing a target man in at full forward and then kicked ball into the other player playing along side him.

But yeah that's harsh?

That was a game Armagh could and should have won by 5/6 points as a minimum.
Once the game went to extra time there was only going to be one winner.

Agree on some of that:
Minors have a management structure lacking in many areas.
U20s have an 'in game knowledge' lacking management team
Seniors have a fantastic setup and manager but across the entire backroom team lack the ability to read a match during it and make appropriate changes to see out a game, or change a game to a winning position.
Don't know whether hurlers have a poor management team but their results seem to suggest they are at their level and like in the past are a yo-yo league team and on big championship days appear to lack mentally and suffer losses in games they should be winning.

More knowledgeable coaches are in the county, and working outside the county, but ultimately aren't in roles with county teams which is disappointing.

I think its very harsh to criticse the management team here.
This age group got beat in u17 level by antrim in the first round 3 years ago. To then take the all ireland champions from the age group to extra time and probably should have beat them in normal time if the key forwards had of performed to their usual standards it would have been a magnificent win. That tyrone team had 7 ulster champions from last years U20 team too. Management team can not be blamed for any of this, they have gone out to develop these players into senior county players for the near future and I'm already thinking some of them can step up into the squad as soon as possible.
The likes of young tk from clann eireann is a frightening talent, mcconville and kearns are going to be excellent forwards and also young martin from dromintee and Mccormick from annaghmore are top top quality defenders.
These lads are now done with the u20 set up. The management team here have did there part and did it extremely well and its now time geezer and the boys in the senior set up take these players along into their squad and make this county team excellent for the next number of years.
This process needs to be happening every year its been big gaps where only one player would be making the break through, we need to be bring more players through each year.

I believe the losing of the game was down to ineffectiveness of the management to spot and fix tactics and game plans during the game. Others who were at the game also had the same opinion. Not saying your view isn't.

I believe the players performed as they were coached/directed to.
This is not ideal when you consider the talent available within the squad and as you have detailed above there most certainly are some fine footballers who have performed very well in games that I've seen from club league, club championship, Ulster competitions, and schools games.

As you say the next step for the majority of the lads is, and should be, a place in the county senior squad and hopefully that's the case.
