Can't argue with the sentiment behind this, but they also haven't factored in last year Armagh played Down and that's always gonna have a big gate/interest even with neutrals. The price hike is bound to deter the neutral for the most part. Add to that the U17s and U20s playing separately, then it adds up to a lot of extra games and more expense!

Tyrone Monaghan was a big game and it had a disappointing crowd too.

This is a big mistake by the Ulster council, especially at a time when the c'ship isn't as competitive, plus the game as a spectacle ain't what it used to be.

I think they were under the impression that, ach sure it's only a couple of quid, the crowds will still come because our c'ship is so competitive. Turns out, people are saying, €30? Aye right!

Reading an article about Cavan there.

They've only won 2 Ulster c'ship matches this decade. Sadly I think they were both against us. Think we've only won 3 (Derry 10, Down 11, Cavan 14).

They've taken a leaf from Armagh's book as well with their new training facility. The Polo Grounds Centre of Excellence they're calling it. Sounds like a teacher training college (P.G.C.E). Not as sophistimacated as our C.A.F.E.
