Cross completely outclassed. I think they may have flattered on their way to winning Armagh, they’ve been badly exposed tonight. The Cross of old were all about game management but tonight they’ve been completely outfought. So naive and indisciplined. Stephen Kernan has probably taken this side as far he can.
I agree with this think with the obvious weakness in full back they should try and protect it better but very naive. Think better management would of won Armagh the previous 2 years and would of won today. You look at cross from half back up and no excuse for losing to ballybay

Armagh club football must be very poor can't remember any junior or intermediate team doing anything and only cross ever putting a dent in senior, is there too many teams? Do we have too many teams in senior? The difference from best in. Senior and worst in Armagh is massive could do with chopping 4 at least

Cross just not at the races, hungrier and better team won. Harsh enough penalty and black card on stroke of half time was a brutal decision and Cross dealt with it equally as brutally. Fair play to Ballybay a very good side and will give Kilcoo their fill of it

Hopefully they will give them a good game

I was saying that last night. Not as if our midfielders are great at fielding at the moment
Yeah we have alot of tall men but not the best fielders. The best we have is jarly og but he is now half back and doing well there. He is worth a look at I know some players have been called in for trials already from round the county

All 3 armagh teams beat at the first hurdle (Cross, Shane’s, D’Noose). Correct me if I’m wrong but all intermediate and junior champs from armagh have struggled in ulster in recent times? Suppose the good thing is we now have a full squad for pre season with armagh which can only bode well And give some other lads time to recover. Shane’s and Noose unlucky to only loose by kick of the hall, and hard luck to cross as well.

Derrynoose beat by a point by a Division 2 Donegal team. Shane’s beat by a point by a Monaghan team (fairly strong at intermediate). I think out of the 3, Cross failed to perform the most

Hard luck to all 3, club football in Armagh is miles behind other counties though. Shanes were completely outclassed and bullied I thought and should have been beaten by more. Year or 2 too soon for that Cross team as good as they undoubtedly are. Possible change of management there?

In fairness to our intermediate/junior teams with the way some other counties championships are structured, teams that are really division 1 or 2 standard end up in a lower championship, although our record is brutal in Ulster. Not good all 3 teams losing at home especially!

Who did win it?
Clones did win the junior championship. I dunno but I really think Armagh club football could do with having less teams in senior and less in intermediate. If you had 8 or 12 in each it would be more competitive and teams would compete better in Ulster

Another very poor year for our club representatives in Ulster. Ally this trend with our woeful recent record at both intercounty underage grades, and it paints a worrying picture about the health of football in the county.

The senior intercounty team have made progress in the last couple of seasons, but is all this good work built on foundations of sand?
