Ah right, I see. You were hounding the Bull like a pack of hounds. I get it now.

I noticed he still hasn’t answered you though. I think he’s tripped himself up so much, he now looks like thon boy on the Isle of Man flag.

Glenn had their goal chances and could not take them. Kilmacrud missed more point chances including frees but were probably the better team.
Pity to see a big Dublin money club winning.

And yet this picture could be the undoing of Kilmacud.

The number 14 had been substituted and hadn't left the field of play before the free was taken leaving 16 players on the field at that time and as is clear in the picture, he was involved in the actual play at that time. In fact play was held up AFTER the free was taken for him to leave according to a lot of media outlets and quite a few of those on Twitter. Realistically the GAA will have no option but look seriously at this or the message goes out, send a player on in the confusion of the dying seconds and hope to get a way with it - a quote several have made already.

So Croke Park are doing nothing but leaving it up to Glen to raise the issue - and then they will look at it! What a useless crowd and what a cop-out! I'm not saying there should be a replay, but surely the powers that be cannot simply ignore what happened. Doing so will only open the floodgates where teams will send on numerous subs at a time and the ref will not be able to fully check who has gone off ( or who might come back on again).
Of course the ref and the 4th official are to blame - but can't you see similar happening in club games where you have the ref on his own with club men running the line??

Croke Park has to show some leadership here and make SOME decision.

I seem to remember the GAA saying in 2010 that if Meath decide to offer a replay to Louth, then there would be a replay. As if! A total cop out.

I do believe a few years back Laois should have been thrown out after the subs fiasco, but no, a rematch it was. Did they lose home advantage? Of course not. Another cop out.

I don’t know what the rules are here, but the GAA should have made a decision by now.

It's not up to the GAA to do anything.
The rule book is very clear on what can be done. This is a technical ruling.

Read the rule book guys. Whether we like it or not that's the way it is. I seen some really stupid stuff on social media about this issue and it's just those people making a lot of noise in an empty vessel.

When would a replay be played?
Personally I can't see it being replayed - Glen will come out of this winning the moral ground by saying they'll not appeal. It will be very magnanimous of them even though they'd win whatever they'd lodge

I'm not sure which way I stand but probably on the side of Glen who I just think should lodge their complaint and ask for it to be considered. At least a fine which is silly considering the money involved in Kilmacud club.

If it's passed over, genuinely what is the point in having rules, technical or otherwise? Footage CLEARLY shows #14 on the line in breach of the rule. Both substituted players only leave after the 45 has been taken although the other wasn't in an area to interfere with play.

It's hypothetical, but what if the #14 had of cleared the ball off the line and it wasn't noticed until after the final whistle? Thing is, he could have. If you're thinking this is just grasping at straws, remember that a part of the red card rule states "......to strike or attempt to strike............" If there was intention then the penalty stands. Same thing should apply here to be fair to all and ensure the playing field is very level. It cannot be argued that he was just wasting time before leaving. Clearly he heads out to his position for the kick out and only leaves when he gets further instruction from the linesman.

Hadn't we a qualifier replayed with Laois after they used a 7th sub which you could argue is a lesser offence as i think they at least still had only 15 on the field.

It's a tricky one as they were better than Glen but it does look like all 16 players were actively defending at the end. Lots of ifs and maybes.

I do think though that the organisation should step in and take control as any complaint by Glen makes them look like sore losers.

I think most people would be happy enough for Glen to appeal and they would definitely win it if they do.
