Am i the only one who think TK deserved the sending off? Should have been taken off by management ffs it was clear he was being targeted and had already fouled 2/3 times after getting his yellow card. Although hindsight is a wonderful thing.

On the game itself im sure CE will be kicking themselves. Turbitt was miles off it - his body language wasn't great either i thought. Look at the difference between the 2 canavans and Turbitt yesterday. They were direct, taking their man on and making things happen. Turbitt was very passive. At one stage in the second half he had the ball about 30 yards from goal, he was 1v1 with the defender and instead of taking him on he ended up loosing possession of the ball at a key stage.

He has had a wonderful year and yesterday just wasn't his day unfortunately. Also, the shot at the end by no.18 was a poor choice. Work the ball to a shooter and that stage or try and manufacture a free kick. CE gave away too many frees and didn't pay enough attention to the 2 canavans. They gave it one hell of an effort but at that level you need to be bulletproof and unfortunately them few errors and lack of experience cost them

Took in both games over the weekend

Kilcoo V Scotstown- Firstly I will say that I am not sure what state Scotstown were in but Kilcoo were absolutely mesmorizing. Scotstown hung in there until the two goals just before half time and from then on it was one way traffic. Kilcoo seem to have brought a lot of youth into the squad and even their so called elder statesmen seemed to have the measure of their opponents all over the field. Seriously impressive and feel they will win the final at ease if they play like that.

CLann Eireann V Errigal- Two fairly evenly matched teams, with Errigal clearly out to give the Armagh County lads some special attention. I feel if TK would have stayed on CE may just have got over the line but I have to agree with GAAMAD above he deserved the Red. First yellow was crytsal clear and then he continued with cynical fouls after that. With his county experience and a major high profile incident not that long ago he really shouldn't have fallen for that. The management should have seen this and taken him off as I feel it ultimately cost them the game. It allowed that wee bit more space for EG to get the Canavans more into it and when those lads get space there is only one outcome. Actually thought Sean McCarthy was a big loss also for CE, with the other lads getting space and him actually focusing on football for a change he was getting a lot of ball in dangerous places, when he went CE struggled to link up. His younger brother had a decent game also and took a few decent scores. Turbo looked very tired but he did get a lot of attention but that is going to happen, umpires standing with their two arms the one length again which is very frustrating. McCambridge also got the treatment but the lad just took it and was physically exhausted at the end of it. He still managed to give a super interview where he summed up the ethos of our organisation to a tee and showed the young gentleman that he is.

I didn't feel that McQuillan robbed CE in fact I felt he should have given EG a few other frees which were potentially scorable. I think CE will be hurting after that one because there were a lot of what ifs which is a different story than if you just get beat out the door. Saying that they are still young and learning and have certainly represented Armagh and Lurgan with great distinction. The winning score was a superb kick as there was a swirling wind at that end and to kick that with a perceived weak foot was just deserving on the spoils.

I'd be surprised if Kilcoo don't beat Errigal Ciaran in the final & Arva don't beat Ballinderry in the Intermediate final

Very enjoyable game on Sunday. I thought Clann Eireann gave a great account of themselves, and given how the match and result unfolded, will have a few regrets. The red card was of course pivotal to the outcome, and I'd have to say that if TK's second yellow was for that specific tackle only, then it was a terrible call.

Playing Devil's advocate here, is it possible that the second yellow was given for multiple offences? That's the only possible explanation that I can offer.

100% there are no ticks after the first card, therefore the next step is the caution. There were at least 3/4 incidents in the ten mins of the second half that he lasted. He was Def being targeted also, but that is sadly a part of the game that frustrates me when we see the good players getting worked over and not getting protection. They have to suck it up which is wrong. Having said that he Def shouldn't have been getting into any scenario to even give the ref the chance to produce the second card. Also management should have seen it, it was crystal clear but perhaps their hands were tied with the other injuries.

Can't argue too much with that. My frustration watching the game though was the inconsistency with the decisions - and the usual conning of the referee. The new rules on decent might cut back on some of the verbals etc but the diving could well increase.

Not nice but it’s hardly the worst thing to be saying. Classic one wee Monkey used to say to the corner backs when we were playing, he’d see a sub warming up and Monkey would turn round and say you may head now, your days done!

Not bad just petty and uncalled for considering the abuse they were giving him, in fairness to TK he wasn't moaning about it, he just got on with it.
