Commiserations to all the Clann Eireann lads on here, robbed and no other word for it. Can hold your heads high and those lads have had a super year and done themselves, their club and their county proud.
That's why we always call it " The Marshes"Hard luck CE. Pitch in poor nick. Not much between teams.
Yeah must have been for an accumulation of foulsVery enjoyable game on Sunday. I thought Clann Eireann gave a great account of themselves, and given how the match and result unfolded, will have a few regrets. The red card was of course pivotal to the outcome, and I'd have to say that if TK's second yellow was for that specific tackle only, then it was a terrible call.
Playing Devil's advocate here, is it possible that the second yellow was given for multiple offences? That's the only possible explanation that I can offer.
The rules are 2 notings then the next notable offence is a yellow, then the next notable offence is a second yellow. Players should know, that is why when you see a players being taken off by managers when they get a yellow cardYeah must have been for an accumulation of fouls
100% there are no ticks after the first card, therefore the next step is the caution. There were at least 3/4 incidents in the ten mins of the second half that he lasted. He was Def being targeted also, but that is sadly a part of the game that frustrates me when we see the good players getting worked over and not getting protection. They have to suck it up which is wrong. Having said that he Def shouldn't have been getting into any scenario to even give the ref the chance to produce the second card. Also management should have seen it, it was crystal clear but perhaps their hands were tied with the other injuries. The rules are 2 notings then the next notable offence is a yellow, then the next notable offence is a second yellow. Can't argue too much with that. My frustration watching the game though was the inconsistency with the decisions - and the usual conning of the referee. The new rules on decent might cut back on some of the verbals etc but the diving could well increase.100% there are no ticks after the first card, therefore the next step is the caution. Not nice but it’s hardly the worst thing to be saying. Classic one wee Monkey used to say to the corner backs when we were playing, he’d see a sub warming up and Monkey would turn round and say you may head now, your days done!I just watched the game again and Canavan actually says bye bye TK when he got the second yellow. There is no call for that shite whatsoever, just a side of things that needs addressed.
I don't even mind that one, but it's bad enough getting the line without someone goading you. Have heard a few smart ones in my timeNot nice but it’s hardly the worst thing to be saying. Not bad just petty and uncalled for considering the abuse they were giving him, in fairness to TK he wasn't moaning about it, he just got on with it.If you think that’s bad, you have a lot to discoverCould’ve been worse, could’ve asked him for travel tips for Miami

yet strangely I am looking forward to itWait till you see the masters of goading at work in the final. Ricey McMenamin was a young fella, never played underage for the county, when he shoved the best part of Peter Cavanan’s shorts up his hole in a championship game. True story. I’d say the two Canavans will have more than shorts and sore holes to worry about. Kilcoo will play on that edge from before throw in, it’ll be a mess of a game.
