I've made this point before but the special players if you like when it comes to later stages of competitions aren't being allowed to play and the officiating is permitting it to happen. I didn't see the Madden game but I would assume McMullan was targeted in the same way McElhome was in the Kilcoo game. He was systematically markd out of it by Niall Branagan, the touches that he did get there was never a danger of him getting a return pass as he was just pushed backwards when he laid the ball off. One two occassions he was pulled to the ground and on another occassion he was pushed over the line almost hitting the linesman and nothing was done about it. The sooner this stops the better because we aren't getting to see the best of these lads.

At Club level this year McMullan has been exceptional, his oace and direct play has been a joy to watch, hopefully he can bring that form into the county set up and lead the team on.
agree, he has been brilliant for them, and player of the championship for me.

He was targeted to a certain extent but did look a bit out of sorts as did Niall Grimley. Grimley one of the best kick passers in the game but kicked 2/3 balls out over the line which is most unlike him. Overall Madden hadnt the same hunger and sharpness that made them the best team in Armagh this year but I guess it just caught up with them..

Have to say I was impressed by Newbridge all the same. Very efficient up front and transition with serious pace. Kilcoo / Scotstown still favs but Newbridge will give any team their fill of it.

I think the Madden 'ultras' are great addition and have brought a bit of energy to the support.
they have sang the anthem at the last few madden games i watched and they knew every word and sing it with enthusiasm
gaa is supposed to be about promoting our gaelic games and culture and we should be encouraging these young lads to learn and sing our anthem, not frowning upon it...
I would have forgot about the singer yesterday and gave these boys centre stage !!
On the Ultra's, Kilcoo had the very kids wired off to kick the balls onto the pitch hen the Loughmacrory Keeper had the ball for a kick out, Kilcoo were playing against the wind. I have absolutely no doubt this was planned to stall things and it worked. The loughmacrory kids then began to do it at the other end delayed things everytime there was a kick out.

Had to laugh at 3 old boys behind me from Clonoe who thought Kilcoo were shouting UDA, Instead of UTM :)

I sensed myself, that that was planned.

Although not sure why Loughmacrory were doing it, when they were behind for a lot of that game.

I think they just seen the other ones and joined in, but Kilcoo Def had that planned, no flies on them
