Middletown, Keady, Derrynoose, Cuchulainns, Killeavy, Craobh Rua are all in the senior. Great to see 6 teams competing for the senior championship. Senior round robin throws in 23rd July

Cross 1/2 for the Championship, the bookies really never take a chance lol although I see PP have paid out on Celtic winning the league.

Group draws have thrown up a few similarities from last year but I guess that is the nature of it when it's mostly the same teams competing. Whats everyones thoughts on the draws.

Teams to lose out for me
Group A- Culloville
Group B- Sarsfields
Group C- St Peter's
Group D Ballymacnab

Teams to top the groups
Group A- Silverbridge
Group B- Cross
Group C- Clann Eireann
Group D- Harps (group of death which could easily see anyone win it, even the Nab who I have tipped to lose out)

Cuchullians be disappointed to finish the group with only a draw to show for it. Serious season for craobh rua. Killeavy competitive v Cuchullians and craobh rua. Group didnt really follow the script. Can derrynoose or craobh rua cause an upset in the semis

Has to be seen as a positive for Armagh hurling, bar Middletown winning all games each team lost at least 2 games, and none finished on 0 points. Would be nice to see the not so traditional clubs stay in the top bracket for a while and sustain their progress. Derrynoose ran keady close in the semi final last year and will be confident and capable of going one step further this time. Craobh Rua will not fear Middletown after beating Keady and Cuchulainns already and should run them tighter than the group stage. Two intriguing semi finals in store. Any idea when they're fixed for?

Probably closest semi final results in over a decade, huge improvements from derrynoose and craobh rua. Are Middletown and keady also coming back into the pack a bit? Hopefully signals a beginning of a more competitive senior hurling grade in armagh

The standard may have dropped rather than improved. There are a lot of players with a lot of miles on all teams. Not a lot of new blood from what I saw.

The referee in the first game was unsure what a yellow card was, which could have had a bearing on the game.
