Whats the story there? Freak result not as though Keady are a dud team
Definitely no dud teams in 2A. It was a close first 20 mins according to Derrynoose twitter and then they got a second goal and just kicked on. Keady had a spell in the second half where they made abit of a revival, but could only kick 1 pointers in that time. From knowing abit about Derrynoose they have had some good players like David McCreesh and Conor McNally for years, but not much else of top quality. Their minors won 2 or 3 championships in division 2 and 3 over the past few years, so they must have unearthed some good reinforcements. Having 2 county u20's over the past 2 years is a good sign of that too. I see in the fixtures they are up against Og's next week. Can they back that performance up?

Belleek are missing a lot of players through injury and each game they seem to lose another player with Drew McVerry going off last night. They’re best 15 inc Callum ONeill would probably be mid table 2A. For their sake, they’ll be hoping to get everyone back for Championship and maybe give it a rattle as can’t see them staying up.

Cross looking in a little bit of trouble in 1A. They’re only win over Madden could maybe be seen as fortunate also as Madden were the better team for long periods in that game. They were poor again last night for long periods apart from some moments of brilliance. I thought Aaron Haughey kept them in the game throughout and Ronan Fitzpatrick had a good first half. They’ll not be far away come championship with everyone back but I really can’t see them getting any easy points in 1A. Fergal Boylan, Ciaran OHanlon and Aaron Magennis had great spells for Killeavy but they were the better team throughout in general. Shea Magill’s kickouts and free kicks were on point also. One kick in the second half for a two pointer, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a ball struck as clean as he hit it!
