So all for Cork would you be tempted to ring the changes and not risk certain key personnel? If in right a suspension would run for championship also. We have plenty of lads on bench worth a run and maybe some of those returning from injury? If meath lose Cork would already be down!

O'hanlon
Paddy Burns
Mc elroy
Higgins
Crealey
McShane
Casey
Nugent
Ratterty?

Why risk Clarke Donaghy Shields etc

Rian O'Neill outstanding footballer but Ross picked ahead him for Aussie rules clubs but can't get a game!! It's as if were running away with division 1 not just about staying up!! But yous boys celebrate mediocrity!!!!!!
Strong words

What mediocrity are you referring to?
Good luck to Ross if he makes it to AFL - if he doesn't hopefully he will work to gain a place in the squad

Mediocrity in that we were fighting to stay up in div 2 nowhere close to div 1 let alone compete at div 1 yet we've potentially one the best young talents in Ireland but for some reason can't even get a minutes football to even see if he's good enugb! But wait a minute geezers results say it all!!!
Emmmm! Geezer doesn't play anymore

Not usually prone to this sort of post but ah well, here goes:
To paraphrase the late, great Bjorge Lillelein:
Peter Mc Ginnity, can you hear me Peter Mc Ginnity? Paul Brewster, Rory Gallagher, Adrian Dunbar, Samuel Beckett, Brian Darcy, Arlene Foster- Your boys took a hell of a beating, your boys took a hell of a beating!

I think Beckett only went to school in Fermanagh.

Anyway, you forgot about Kyle Lafferty, Ciaran McMenamin, Roy Carroll and Big Charlie Lawson, so you did.

We get it, you're a McQuillan fan boy, but calm down son you'll give yourself a heart attack o_O
Also you give the impression that you don't really support the county team anyway so why do you actually care who plays?!?!!!

No i want us competing with the best so play our best players to give us a chance very simple!!
Sometimes our best young players need to learn to play county.
Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't O'Neill our best U20 player

Anyhow I'd rather we stayed in division 2 than played all the young guys and possibly went down.
For a few stupid mistakes against Kildare and Clare, better options taken against Donegal we'd be on ten points.
Small margins

Could you lay off about Ross McQuillan you absolute slobber. I hope to god you are not related to him in any way as the lad could not benefit from have someone like you having an influential role in his life.

Yes he has plenty of potential and yes hopefully he has a future in an Armagh jersey but he has to earn that by impressing the management team at training. If he is as good as you and many others think then it’ll happen for him in due course. However if he thinks he should just walk straight on to the county team, as you do, then he has no respect for the other lads that are already there and we don’t need a prima donna. I reckon the lad would be embarrassed to see the rubbish you’re posting.

Two of our best players today Brendy and Charlie are in their mid thirties and their 14th season with Armagh, it’s a marathon not a sprint. Ross’s time will come.

Good solid performance today. Good change from management to press the ball in the second half. Really showed Fermanagh up to be very limited.

Brendy was awesome today and I thought jarly Óg had a big game. Soupy played well when he came on Grimley made some excellent runs from defence.

Armagh got the job done without rian or Jamie playing well. On a side note, I have heard that some of the Armagh lads suffered incredible and disgraceful personal abuse today. Very hurtful and quite honest disgusting. No one should have to put up with that when you cross the white line. That’s why the referee spoke to the 2 captains at ht. Fermanagh should be Exposed for this. No guessing where this directive has come from... mcmenamin is a scumbag.

Pay back for last year done even if it was laboured. Few have scored 10 times against that Fermanagh team. They are a poor side with a few good players and a plan they all buy into recently. Their antics were nothing short of trashy at times and thanks be to god the ref for the most part didn't fall for their nonsense. I noticed he called the two captains over at half time and had a word with them. I can only assume he told them to cut the shite out or red cards would be used. It definitely eased in the second have. One exception though. I gladly stand and watch that tramp McMiniminamiimum get the crap bate completely out of him. The crying whinging bas...........kit case. He runs onto the field when he wasn't supposed to, then when he leaves he roars at the tramp linesman (not Brannigan) that Paddy McKeever was two feet onto the field - just one example. I hope someone gives him 20 laxatives with his Stew tomorrow the bollox. Just sad that his wife has poor eyesight.

Brendan Donaghy was just class today. Again Jamar took a load of abuse but keeps getting back up for more. The lad is brilliant in my opinion. Lost a couple of balls and worked his off to get it back. Hopefully Aidan Forker hasn't aggravated his injury. He didn't look comfortable coming off. Niall Grimley is getting back to his best. Great to see Ethan getting a run out. Very strong in the tackle along the line even skipping over the Fermanagh #7 (I think) when he tried desperately to trip him. Soupy needs to settle and stop rushing. He's a class act and it'll click for him. Rian O'Neill is such a stylish strong footballer. Didn't happen for him today and he looked desperate to get a good score from play in a county jersey in his home field. I could watch him alone. Jamie! Thank you lord for blessing us with his talent. His maturity now shows through. He knows he doesn't have to score to be a hero. His work rate does that. Rory Grugan is another finding form again. Still not where he was, but definite improvement. Paul Hughes always looks confident on the ball and isn't afraid to go forward. Definitely a problem creator today. Charlie Vernon is playing like a lad ten years younger. Great heart and supporters love him. The rest played their part in a positive if not fantastic performance.

The negative. That's us. Why oh why do we get on the backs of our lads when we play laterally? Yes it's a bloody pain to watch (although to be fair it was really irritating when we had broke forward, got to the 14 and ended up passing all the way back to Blaine on our own 14, then played stupidly like U12's in front of goal sheeesh!!) but we hold possession and try breaking them down and for the most part it worked today. A few broke down, but hard work recovered it. Give them (opposition) hell but support our own no matter what on the day.

Strangely, six played, two won, two drawn, two lost and status in division two for next year secured. I'll take that:
In 2002 we won an All Ireland from division 2A (effectively div.3 in new money) being beaten that year only by Kerry and a single point if I remember right and then Laois by 3 or 4 in the semi-final. So yes the better the opposition the better the prep is going forward, but we need a big performance and Ulster Championship is where I'd like to see that. Not next week although let's win that one too for the craic.
Keepers! I love that Calm and astute analysis in the last three paragraphs. But boy that first one was

Love the last three paragraphs, with their Calm and astute analysis. But boy, that opener was like Blazin' Saddles on steroids! Agree with all of it though!
