If it did finish that way and we bate Cork, it would leave us level with Fermanagh on 3 2 2 and therefore above them (rightly) in the final table

As a PPS and not necessarily football related, it was nice to see big Joe Kernan yesterday helping out at his club as a steward. A gentleman like that as a former high profile county and international team manager, could easily sit back and leave it to others, but he was helping out like everyone else. Well done and good on ya.

PPPS I'm aware others do this without acclaim on a regular basis, just mention it because of his profile and I thought it a positive from the day.
Aaron was also stewarding yesterday

As ridiculous as it might sound I would prefer Armagh consolidated their status as a D2 team for a few seasons we drew games we shouldn't have and we can't be going in to D1 with the inability to close games.

Would prefer to see Cork stay up and have tip and Clare take the fall.

Unless Cork beat us and Tipp & Clare draw against each other that isn't gonna happen I don't think @Armagh_paul

I know I'd definitely prefer us with a win heading for May (Quite a break when you think of it) in two months time.

I was absolutely delighted with yesterday's win & a disciplined performance from our team. They played patient football (much to the annoyance of some of our supporters!) but in the end it worked. We needed a win yesterday & the boys delivered. Some excellent performances all over the pitch, the players who really shone being mentioned in numerous other posts. I have to say I am thrilled to see Geezer picking Jemar time after time, he has to be 1 of the 1st names on the teamsheet. He is tenacious, agile, his workrate is superb & he gives his all in every single game. I feel from the response he has received leaving the pitch at various matches he has become a firm favourite with our supporters & rightly so.

I will hold my hands up & say I have been very quick to criticise the referees & officials throughout our league campaign & in most cases I think I have been justified. However I never thought I would say this about one of "them uns" but Sean Hurson had a good game yesterday, as did his sideline officials. They didn't fall for the theatrics which are becoming far too evident in our game & I felt he put on a very good refereeing display, so praise where praise is due.

Like others I would have little time for Fermanagh's style of play & even less time for a certain Sean Quigley who pushed & shoved & niggled at Brendan Donaghy for the entire match but Brendan was having none of it. I was slightly more concerned when Aidan Forker was moved onto him but my fears were unwarranted. As for the Fermanagh supporters, I had a man sitting behind me with his 2 young sons who called 1 of our players "pure dirt", totally untrue I might add, while his sons cheered every 1 of our wides but how could I expect anything else if that's how the father behaves.

I was slightly disappointed that our support weren't more vocal in their support, maybe with the pressure off next Sunday we can all cheer the boys on & let them know we appreciate their efforts.

We've survived in Division 2 & for me that's job done, with a few decisions going our way we could have been fighting for promotion but I am happy to have another season in Division 2 & see this current squad make further progress.

Congratulations to our squad & management, it's been a tough league campaign with some disappointments along the way but all your efforts have now been rewarded & deservedly so.

I hope fermanagh go up. Then we will have a couple of year or more of not playing them. Next year they are division 1 and we are 2. The following year they are 2 and we are 1.
i don't easy 2 points next year again, division 2 will be much tougher next year with Cavan,Roscommon,Down & maybe Laois in it

I was really impressed with how we approached the game today, I thought tactically we were excellent. Faced with the the most heavily fortified defense in western Europe, a few Oscar nominees and Tom Daly impersonators we utilised a running game with a particular liking for the left corner of the field. It was a bit like a rugby game where we seemed to pick a weakness in the opposition and work to exploit it continually. It was the right move as it forced Fermanagh to foul in the scoring zone. I thought Brendan Donaghy was excellent and really proved his value to this team, he is the glue that holds that defense and gives confidence to the other defenders.
Grimley was immense today and made wee boys out of the much lauded Fermanagh mid field. He continually rose highest and they had no answers. I was delighted to see Charlie have a good game also. Previously I had expressed concern that he may struggle to get back into the first 15 but on today's performance he will be hard to leave out. Also very impressed with Jarly Og, he really got stuck in and appeared happy to be involved with winning the dirty ball along with some high fielding and good running.
Up front I thought Jemar was very industrious and effective. He is one of those players you would hate to be playing against as he is very hard to handle and a great man to win a free (not in a "oh my god I have just been stabbed in the face by one of those nasty boys on the orange" type way). Jamie is a very different player than before. He is excellent at winning ball and laying it off to the on-running players but I would still like to see him running at defenses a bit more and getting on the score-sheet. Ethan was a great addition when he came on because he offered something totally different which threw Fermanagh a bit. Really strong on the ball and as someone mentioned previously, speed, where did that come from???
I forgot to mention Paul Hughes, he was excellent yesterday. He has great speed and is very cool on the ball.
I don't like being too critical of individual players but I do think we benefited from Morgan's suspension yesterday. Our tackling was much sharper and didn't give the ref any reasons to doubt that. James is a good player but his style is a open invitation to easily swayed referees which cheating teams like Fermanagh love to exploit.
Love that opener...totally agree rest of it.

Listen folks, that's what the GAA is all about and is why I get so exercised about the cheating we see from Fermanagh, Donegal and Tyrone . As you may imagine being from Cullyhanna, I'm no fan of Cross but I totally respect the players and am not in the least surprised to see Joe or Aaron on duty today. That is what we are about not this fu€king cheating we see nowadays.

Your comment may be tongue in cheek but having known a few people who've had to battle gambling it's a very, very low statement.
It's something that can destroy not only a person's life but those around them. The only way it's resolved is when they admit there is a problem and do something about it.
A very courageous and forthright statement made by Soupy - it should be seen as that
