You my friend must have come up the bann in a bubbleI'm sure if the clubs involved really wanted to play their game they could have simply by asking.

But that would be massively unfair if the appeals were [as stated] last night and leaves the players no time to go to the next stage before the game - and I'm aware in saying that, that some of them possibly deserve the penalty applied.Hearing, bizarrely, it could be Saturday before results of appeals are known.

And my guessing Sean is that there's little if anything even the county board can do as these things are done when the UC CCC [in this case] can meet to accommodate the hearingReally is unfair if true. There is no chance in hell for this to occur if it was a senior county game!
JoeH I know st Peter's wanted to play their match but were not given the option as the ccc refixed the match without even consulting st petersI'm sure if the clubs involved really wanted to play their game they could have simply by asking.
Then the questions need to asked why couldnt it be fixed. Just because a few players are with county what about the other 40 ish players..JoeH I know st Peter's wanted to play their match but were not given the option as the ccc refixed the match without even consulting st peters

What would you suggest if the option to play the game wasn't there? Then the questions need to asked why couldnt it be fixed. Just because a few players are with county what about the other 40 ish players.
Perhaps clubs prefer this to happen so that its easier to blame others rather than working to try and fix games
Let's be real here I think if something kicks off and doesn't fizzle out naturally or by a strong ref it will get out of hand tension was fever pitch and no squad member is going to stand by and see his team mate take a false one or obvious one that's the reality like it or dislike itIn my opinion the gaa should adopt the 3rd man in rule because of the nature of the game tensions will occasionally boil over between players but let them sort it out between themselves and the ref. Any man who jumps in after this (from whatever team) causing it to turn into a mass brawl should then have the book threw at him, that's how most other physical sports handle things.
Make the option - lift the phone and ask. Not rocket science really. What would you suggest if the option to play the game wasn't there?
One players appeal successful a sub. Hearing a few being taken to Croke Park. Absolute joke.
That’s my thinking. We don’t know who has been suspended or the reasons so can’t say one way or another if it’s a joke or notI don’t know the reasons why the players have been suspended nor the grounds for appeal. Can I ask why you think it’s a joke?
The reason I say it’s a joke is simply because we have all seen games with players running all in including supporters management at different games. Have we ever seen 17 suspensions of players in one game? If anyone can give examples go ahead but I can’t remember. It seems to me this is setting a precedent and because it’s u20s it is an easy cop out. Can’t anyone really believe if it was a senior semi final the same suspensions would be handed out. Being at the game and my observations of the reason the row happened is one that has crept into the game of teams starting a row to kill time in the game. I’m not saying there shouldn’t have been suspensions but this has been a total over reaction on the Ulster Ccc. I wait to see what happens in future games.
Several times in the past I've been accused of being blinkered towards all things Armagh and I guess to an extent, like most ardent supporters, I kinda am. I know where you are coming from and see a balance between your discussion and @bcb1 with middle ground between the two, BUT! if a stand has to be taken, it has to be taken somewhere. Maybe UC had decided to do this before and bottled it. Maybe it was because the Tyrone involvement with the person that uploaded it and sent it to BBC among others, they decided this is where it has to start. If they let this go and it happens again between maybe Derry and Donegal or Monaghan and Cavan at some level (regardless of the level for this point), do they (those counties) turn around and say "Why us and not them?". Point is "starting somewhere" has to start somewhere. We have to assume that the video evidence was good enough to start here. I applaud the UC CCC for taking a strong stance at last but am seriously disappointed it was with us. Maybe if Croke Park had have acted more sternly with Tyrone last time they acted the monkey in U21 this wouldn't have been as ugly and we wouldn't have to say "why us?", but we are where we are. Next time you see someone with a mobile phone out and recording something beside you. punch their lights out and steal the phone. Sure that'll stop it! That's a joke by the way. Only do it if they're from Tyrone!!I agree it has to stop but still find it strange it took an U20s game to decide that’s the time to stop... call me a cynic. No more than a few weeks ago Cross vs Cullyhanna any suspensions, Maghery vs Cross at the Athletic grounds many suspensions? Armagh vs Cavan behind the band in the Athletic grounds? Many suspensions ... Armagh Harps vs Cross in Keady in Championship in Keady any suspensions? Nothing against Cross before someone jumps in. These are games that I actually witnessed live with all sorts on social media. We have all seen videos of games in Tyrone Derry and from all over the country a lot worse. The problem I have is it the rules need to be addressed and we should take a rule from the rugby any second and third man and so forth get straight reds. You say they have taken a stance? So what you are saying is they decide enough is enough and we will start with this game first? I think that’s a very naive and silly way to determine what happens from this game going forward. I agree with you we need to protect the players refs officials etc and not drive people from the game but this has to be done at the rules level not before on a reaction to the media and social outcry. It’s a pity that those at the game will remember it for one of the best football games witnessed at the Athletic grounds but all the negativity of the one minute row has spoilt a possible great final. Can you answer me if this was County Senior would the same sanctions been handed out?
