Fantastic to be back in a final! Just needed a result today and there's much, much more in us. Great to see minutes in the legs of a few men coming back from injury - we can beat Derry!
Just on Jemar, who gets a very hard time, excellent last couple of games - fair play!

What an easy day at the office! Down offered absolute nothing.... Great to see us play so many long balls in. Down could not handle it.... Rian had a quite game by his standards. But his goal was pure class! Hopefully Murnin injury isn't anything serious he had some game!

Also Michael Murphy hates us!
Why what did Murphy say?

Great to be back in the final!
A dirty horrible day where the weather should have been a friend to Down as a leveller….it wasn’t.
Great that we took our goal chances. Someone on here said yesterday that Derry would be Ulster Champions well not the bravest of statements, especially now as there’s 50/50 chance of them being right but it’s far from a foregone conclusion…..
1. Armagh have greater strength in depth
2. Derry have conceded 4 goals in c’ship so far - 2 v Fermanagh!
3. Armagh won by 10 points today with only 1 forward playing well
4. Armaghs hunger should be greater

I’m looking forward to the final

I couldn't watch the match (weren't playing it in a single pub in the town I'm currently in in the free state), was he taken off injured?

Not too serious

Actually thought the ref was grand. Gave them plenty of yellows the first half. Some tackling was high, etc can’t think of any glaring mistakes from him.

Hard to know where armagh are really. Three div 3 outfits beaten to make the final. Down missed plenty of chances especially the first half and should have been a lot closer at half time. Don’t think Armagh played overly well today but we’ll see in 2 weeks if we have improved since the league.

Great win and a fairly muted response on here to the fact that we are in our first ulster final in 15 years . Pretty easy in the end considering we never got out of 3rd gear, and considering a lot of our big performers were very quiet . My MOTM was Andy Murrin , with Forker , McCabe, and the much maligned Hall also getting honorable mentions . Only negatives were the Injuries to Andy and Crealey . Lets hope for better weather in the Ulster final not just to avoid the soakings , but I think the better weather suits us better . Interesting how the high ball that caused Down problems today also caused a few issues in the Derry defense last night . While Derry are a big step up and probably slight favorite's , I think we will be a step up for Derry as well , and it should be a great match and another step to gauge how far we are away from challenging the big teams .

The high ball in on a wet day will cause any team problems. We got two goals today from it, and could have got more.

The wet ball makes it tricky outfield, handling-wise and balls skidding off the turf, but the high ball in is one advantage. And to hell with the critics who bemoan such tactics, because you have to play to suit the conditions and play to your strengths.

Did Duffy hit the cross bar twice today. Fair play to the team and management, whilst bigger games lie ahead these are the days we want to be looking forward to.

Where’s all the Moaning Michael’s tonight?

Three championship wins in a row. Into an Ulster final. Convincing win today. Four goals scored.

Granted, the opposition wasn’t spectacular, but we can only beat what’s put in front of us. And we still haven’t performed as we know we can.

Maybe all the Moaning Michael’s might come on and give McGeeney and the lads a bit of credit? They’re always quick to dish out the criticism.
