Slightly surprised this format hasn't had as many dead rubbers as I thought although it hasn't really caught fire. Given this there is a chance some teams that go straight to the QF could be a bit undercooked.

Derry topping the their group suits if we don't as it widens the pool of opposition to include more we would fancy if we come 3rd or 2nd.

I think tomorrow is all about getting a momentum building, morale boosting victory. We'll worry about what happens elsewhere and what comes next after that.

Looking forward to a good game tomorrow. Safe travels and best of luck to team and management.

Don’t know about that
They have circled the wagons, have couple of key players back, and A O Rourke is no dozer, he would have Armagh well figured out
Would bite your hand off to draw Donegal tbh. They are massively in decline and are easily beatable.

Not that it matters. We beat Galway tomorrow and Westmeath beat Tyrone we top the group.

Yes i am ever the optimistic.

Have to say don't think this format has been that good. Yes there haven't been many dead rubbers but don't think many matches has generated a whole of interest.

All it seems to be is a safety net for the bigger teams to remain in the championship. Not a fan at all.

While it was not perfect I enjoyed the old qualifier system more

It should be only 2 teams from each group that makes it through to the next round hopefully they will look at that next year plus I don't agree with the 2nd placed teams getting home field advantage should be neutral venue

I'd said before not enough jeopardy in this system. Aside from giving Donegal a chance to regroup, Westmeath are maybe the only other team to improve their stock in this phase of the season and still highly likely to go out. Provincial finalists have also struggled. Bit of a rethink needed.
