Would be fun to watch Down blow it against Clare next week.
He was off the pace last year as well, and didn’t have the best club season either. Always capable of kicking the spectacular free, but I think we really have to ask ourselves if he’s one of Armagh’s best 15 right now as outrageous as the question would have been 2 years ago. Also great that the squad depth is good enough to where there are multiples forwards pushing for his spotOn today's viewing, and as much as we know the class he can produce, Rian is off the pace. As was Oisin in his limited cameo. I'd suggest that the 15 that played today are the best 15 at the minute.
Thought TK did well when he came in but I think with the exception of Ross McQuillain, nobody put their hand up for a starting place. And even then, who do you drop?
Crealy had a very productive game in the middle, his best of the year. Would have liked to see Jarly Óg in there for 35 but obviously not moving as well in training as others.
All in all, I think having seen Derry and Dublin come from D2 last year and preform how they did in the AI series, we're in a better position than 12 months ago even though it was D1 ball then.
Excellent interview with Donaghy. A good lad.Kieran Donaghy is on the Tommy Tiernan show right now
Armagh were a penalty kick away from winning Ulster against arguably the favorite to win the All-Ireland this year in Derry.Agree except for the Ulster title bit. Not much point playing football if you don’t want to win things and we aren’t at a level yet where we’ve a squad with loads of medals in the bank who can afford to turn their nose up at a provincial.
It would be an absolute disaster for us to lose to Fermanagh, Antrim or Down and when we’re in a final we’ve an at least a 50/50 chance against any of the others.
Didn’t meant it as an insult to Armagh, I’m just surprised at how poor Division 2 was this year. Cavan, Kildare, and Meath were fairly dreadful and really didn’t belong on the same pitch as Armagh.Yes not being promoted would of been a disaster, but when you figure that we haven't played Rian or the cullyhanna lads much or at all shows our dept and could be a blessing in disguise to give them a rest, it also helps playing in a lower division for players to get some confidence, come championship you could make a case that Duffy, jarly og, Rian O'Neill, oisin O'Neill Nugent will all be starters along with a few more that have are just as good as what's starting ATM, it's great to see.
Think paddy Burns, Blaine Hughes, Aidan forker, Peter mcgrane and oisin conaty have all beeb excellent this league
Not sure who’s arguing that Derry are favourites for the AI this year but I’d have them well behind Dublin, maybe slightly behind Kerry and would give us every chance against them if they even get to the Ulster final.Armagh were a penalty kick away from winning Ulster against arguably the favorite to win the All-Ireland this year in Derry.

I suppose it’s a good thing that Armagh’s 2nd team is better than 1st team of the rest of D2, but I wish they had a really test before the Ulster final, because the gap in quality between Fermanagh/Cavan and Derry is going to be absolutely massive
They’re 6/1 to win the All-Ireland right now. They’re rather obviously one of the 3 main contendersNot sure who’s arguing that Derry are favourites for the AI this year but I’d have them well behind Dublin, maybe slightly behind Kerry and would give us every chance against them if they even get to the Ulster final.
I find myself agreeing for once.Derry are nothing without Glass & McGuigan
Tyrone are nothing without McCurry & Cavanan
Kerry are nothing without the 2 Cliffords
Dublin have 6 forwards & a midfield plus a bench
Are Dublin the only team who are allowed subs? First, all their matches at Croke Park, now this!Derry are nothing without Glass & McGuigan

The gagging took just over 20 minutes to stop after I read that, but "that" goal was bloody brilliant............shite the gagging has started again! Are Dublin the only team who are allowed subs? First, all their matches at Croke Park, now this!
If this league campaign has shown us anything, it’s that our bench isn’t too shabby either. It’s another thing performing come championship time, but the signs are good.
By the way, Morgan is a big player for Tyrone as well. His long kicking is a great weapon in their arsenal, as he proved setting up Canavan’s goal v Monaghan. He can turn defence into attack in a couple of seconds.
Right, I’m away to wash my mouth out.
Easter SundayAnyone know when the final will be played ?
