I have a bad feeling in the pit of my stomach about this match (although it could just be the iffy stew Mrs M made earlier). But something tells me we’re not going to get this easy.
I agree. Will likely be labelled negative here, but calling it honestly. I think Armagh will be beaten tonight.

The something is that Meath have nearly always had the upper hand in contests with us. I suspect that they are a better team than Louth and the same type of performance by Armagh as last week won’t be good enough. I hope I’m wrong.
I agree with this, I think Louth are better organised but Meath have better players and just hope we perform, I also have a bad feeling we could get caught

Have read through most posts. A couple of things. Joe McElroy is playing a similar role for Armagh as he does for his club. Conor O'Neill may primarily be a defender but can play the same role. Both can take a score. Given their current fitness I would be surprised if Kelly or Oisin O'Neill can play the defensive part of the role. Maybe introducing them when opponents tire is best at this time of year. Currently come championship it looks like Jason Duffy will take one of those positions. Others need to put their hand up for the other place.
Secondly I don't think talking about people being able to take 45s in the first half last weeks is relevant. Louth have one of the best free takers in the country and he couldn't score from that distance into the wind.
I agree with you on the 45s there was way more worrying things tha our 45s against a strong wind last week, I know McElroy and Conor oneill play similar roles for club, but I think we have players who can play that role and have a better scoring threat. I just feel we made progress over the last few years with a style we where playing and rather tha build on that with small tweaks we drastically changed it, and even though we lost to a team at or slightly below our level in Monaghan, management is sticking to their guns or doubling down on it, it just isn't the way I like us to play and seeing more defensive players in our forward line just screams negativity to me, I just hope we change more come the end of the league or championship, but I doubt we will, If we are this negative against Louth and Meath what way will we play against top teams. And Iv never been anti mcgeeney or pro mcgeeney I think there are pros and cons to him and every manager, but if we have an average season and go out with a whimper playing this way it will create loads of noise of people looking rid of him
