A big win tonight- we'll done to everyone .
I am not Geezers biggist fan but credit where credit is due.
What was the difference from last week - approach, attitude or players just going for it?

Thought soupy was very good and took a lot of punishment

Didn't get to see the game tonight. Damn family and young children curtailing my social entertainment. Sounds so much more positive than last week and delighted to see cian start and score 1.1 from play. Still think oisin should be on from the start of we are gonna see the best from hin come championship. Had huge complaints last week, hope the improvements served more than the difference in class this week

To a certain degree McElroy has almost become a figure of criticism for the perceived failings of this team. Somewhat unfairly I would say. Having seen him at club level he would always have struck me as being a skilful player, fast, direct, willing to take responsibility and chip in with a score.

Good performance and a very good result tonight. 4/4 leaves us in a strong position to go after a promotion spot in the remaining fixtures.
Personnel and style not a whole pile different to last weekend, but application much better (allied to Meath's very uninspiring display). Hopefully, some of the bedwetters among the Armagh support might now chill out for a week or two.
Conaty, McConville, and McCabe very good. JOB and O O'Neill made a difference when introduced - only a matter of time until they claim starting berths.
I really like Conaty. For me, he's he the same boat as Kelly, Crealy, Turbitt, McQuillan, and maybe McConville. All boys with very high ceilings, but who have yet to demonstrate the consistency required to make an impact an intercounty level. If this Armagh team is to do anything, it will be with each of the aforementioned lads on the field hitting somewhere close to their full potential.

Personally I think he, along with a number of others, is disciplined and adheres to the system basically a good squad member prepared to scrafice his own reputation. He is not alone in that regard to be fair with Jarly Og, Duffy, Mackin and Hall amongst a number of others.
There are several interchangeable players who, if they don't perform the assigned role, would see the team performing at a lower level. You only miss this function when it's gone.
There was less running down the channels blindly tonight and when we did o down there we went done with more ourpose and pace and with more players in support. Plus Meath were a lot less organised defensively.
When we get pressed on our kick outs we struggle. Someone pointed out McElroy making himself available tonight. Agree on that. He was good. I was critical of him starting against Monaghan in place of turbo. That wasn’t a go at him, I rate him, but rather it summed up our approach in that game.
I thought McKay was good tonight overall despite struggling a bit under the high ball. He made some good interceptions first half and you can hear him organising the defence too. Hope h is available in a fortnight.
A really good win for the team and management with a few less experienced lads getting a good run out to stake a claim.
Refreshing to see us push on and put a worser team away convincingly for a change.
Not to get carried away however, further proof that bar the big 3 or 4, Ulster teams are well ahead of the rest.

Great win for Armagh last night.
Although on a side note it's getting a bit of a joke the seating in Armagh. The amount of reserved seating that are kept for people. People queuing up early to get in to get a central view of the game to be told sorry you can't sit there. Then with 5 mins before the game they let anyone into them.

4 points from 4 is all that can be asked from anyone so congratulations to the team. On the game itself, I felt we really struggled in the first 27 or 28 minutes and relied heavily on frees to keep us in it. We struggled with the set up initially and left ourselves exposed, a better team would have put at least another 1-2 on the board against us in the first half.
Then crucially, Conaty injected pace and turned the game on its head. A direct run at pace cut them open and gave us the goal, he may not have scored it himself, but that goal was all on him, a moment of proper quality. Then Mackin finished the game at the start of the second half.
Positives for me were Conaty and I felt Mackin done very well. Also felt C o Neill and McElroy done ok. I don't think it was a great Armagh performance and that Meath were actually shocking, I expected a lot more from them.

Definitely more positive than last week imo, think having an extra forward in mcconville made a difference, joe McElroy is a great player but I'd have him in the half back line, we have played 10/11 championship team and 4/5 others and that's a good mix, we still have to get more mins in oisins legs and with Rian and murnin to come back and the cullyhanna lads we are in a good spot, next game I'd like to see Higgins get another run, I'd also keep McGrane as I think he has done ok I'd also keep conaty and mcconville and maybe start mcpartlan but the rest as strong as possible, keep Oisin O'Neill for the second half.

Certainly a lot more positives. I'd agree on McPartlan as well. Btw, Mc Grane has pace. Didn't realise just how fast he was, I think there is a player there that can be developed if he is given a bit of time.

Each match is different thats why you have to be dynamic on ths sideline and adjust and in fairness this happened last night so credit is deserved to management as I am assuming that they noticed and realised the switch . Armagh strength in recent years has been when we really go at teams on the counter we can really hurt the oppostion , breaking runners , good kick passing, diagional balls in quite simple but effective.
Grugan pulls the strings so smart the way he sits behind the 45 looking for the ball in for the mark or like a pass McConville a good chance to fully attack from it and create a goal chance .
Conaty has potential as a player , I really like players that go at defenders and as for McConville I didnt see anything from him up to last night , but hey the forum knew !
A good two points again and Kildare getting beat means that they will be targeting us big time so it will be a good test and also a new venue for me if I can go , also nice to go to a match without firing the gaviscon down at the end !

The season is a marathon not a sprint.
Performance was certainly much better and rather than Meath being poor I think it was a case of Armagh being in control
Strong performances from individuals but I'd rather look at the whole squad performance
The purpose of making a substitution is to change / improve the team and that certainly happened.
There is certainly a lot more to come and when you consider who didn't come on and who is to come into the squad there is certainly strength in depth.
The two week break will help to prepare for Kildare and then Donegal at home.

I can go an away team with the season ticket and have reserved seats yet in Armagh its a scramble. Those reserved seats are that club armagh seats and with the ask for new Patrons to fund the training centre that area will be growing....1500 a year to sit there.
