Going very well and all playing well which is great. What has happened Kildare? Should have dumped Monaghan out last year and now heading for junior.
What's the story with P Burns? More wraps than a deli - surely should be resting a man with 20 niggles?

Nothing more than a training match. Disappointed Kildare gave up so easily. Not overly concerned with the errors made, hard to not be complacent when the game is effectively over.

Traditional to focus on the performance of the Armagh keeper so I will start there. Blaine Hughes double bounce when standing still. Shocking. As for the rest of his performance: 10:10. Not much to do shot-stopping-wise but the high ball was dealt with consummate ease, kick outs were spot on (not the most challenging day, admittedly) and linked up the play well. He dealt with events in front of him very well.

That is really the report on the rest of the team. They beat what was in front of them. Truthfully Kildare were atrocious. They are poor by Div 2 standards and this is a particularly poor Division 2.

The benefit of Division 2 is that we can blood players and ease others back. But really we need to get out of it.

None of this is our fault. We have to deal with the situation as it presents itself, which we are doing well but i reckon there is enough talent in our ranks to play an expansive game against better opposition than what Division 2 has to offer this year. Please be brave against Donegal. Its potentially the only real challenge in the league this year.

Other than that we seem to be easing players back each week. Pleasing.

Management need to give their head a wobble. Not sure what they are trying to prove with those tactics. Not even sure if there were any tactics. Awful display against a team that have nothing to offer in competition.

Wasn’t a double bounce. Watch it back

What a win
Love Aidan Forker and his head up kick pass approach. Always unlocking and seeking the way to get us up the field.
Conaty … wow. What a young man, could be electric for us this year. Thought Turbo / McElroy / Grugan all excellent. And soupy, like a fine wine #UpArmagh
Let’s get athletic grounds rocking for next Sunday against Donegal.

Can’t really add anything about the match that hasn’t already been said. Two points, on we go...

Any thoughts on the journey to/experience in Carlow? What was the ground like? How was the town?

Job done after 15 minutes. Played some very good football along the way.

Conaty showing what he can do and makes it harder for the shirt to go to someone else in the run up to championship.

A very strong bench with some of those who would usually start. Tough decisions over the next few weeks.

Drive was fine. Headed down the motorway and paid the toll. Parked just opposite the ground for €5 and out within 2 minutes and back on the road.

Ground wasn’t bad, seen worse/better.

That was possibly the most clueless opposition we have ever played against. Even when they were being beaten by 13 points they still played a blanket defence and did push up on us.
Some good performances in particular Soupy, Conaty, Turbo and McElroy. Also good to see some of the big names getting game time. Much sterner tests await but confidence should be high.
I was delighted to see the kick pass used much more, hopefully that is a sign of things to come as we got great joy from that in 2022. So credit where credit is due, we are making progress and I'm starting to get excited again.

We played well and won comfortably, I don't care how poor Kildare where or are, we rarely win in such comfort so let's be happy when we do, we blooded some more regulars with some minutes while also giving some fringe players game time, think we have used the squad fairly well so far.

Big challenge next week though and with home advantage and having seen his team 3 games now hopefully we have a plan for Jimmy's Donegal, one thing I do think we need is crealy back in middle as Donegal press all kick outs so the some more of the likes of murnin, Rian, oisin, Duffy and jarly og I'd expect to start as kick out options but I think we are in good shape for next week.

Not much to say on that. Did what we had to do. Good to see Murnin playing and Rian back togged out. Next week will show where ourselves and Donegal are at.

Ah now Joe. I'd have thought you know me better than that!! Others may have fallen for it :p

3 things:
"Sarcasm!!"
"The usual we expect"
"That team won't start!"

I was just grabbing a bite to eat before heading off, was a tad bored and thought I'd have a little fun!! Mind you I did't mention which team I was talking about!! :D
