I think anyone will agree we have problems at the centre of our defence and our tackling is very poor. However, defence starts from corner forward, if defenders are bombing forward others should drop back to fill the holes they have left. No full back in my opinion should be playing in the oppositions half. I might be old school but that it is what I believe, the centre of the defence should never be left exposed.
Nail and head. We are exposed all the time
Our poor defence will cost us promotion. All teams have to do is run through the defence going by reports in the Laois and M games:([/Quote aren't good en

I think it's a bit naive to say it will cost us promotion when it's been a problem for a decade and when we just aren't good enough for division 1

Yeah I agree with you on that. It's exactly the same as a keeper running forward with a ball. Someone should drop back to cover the goal for those few moments it's left exposed

On a different note to move away from negativity even if briefly, I thought the young black lad playing for Westmeath was a breath of fresh air. Having seen him a few times now he looks like a real workhorse and never stopped running all game. I was actually delighted when he got his score. Nothing less than he deserved for his work.

I feel like we’ve watched him develop over the years we’ve been down there that often. A very good player

It was actually very cool to see so many embracing him afterwards. Obviously very popular among the local support. Seen quite a few Armagh folk getting pictures taken with the lad and some of his team mates. Regardless of how we play, what goes well or goes against us, it's fantastic to see that some of our support enjoy the occasion and wait around after the game. Nice touch with some applauding both teams off after the game and again I include some of ours clapping Westmeath players too. Big respect for what those lads do.

Anyone else watching league Sunday..
Oisin mcconville discussing Kieran McGeary sending off, oisin he went over to see if his opponent was ok
Which Is very unTyrone like.
Highlight of the programme since they didn't show our game.
Also any word on soup looked to have picked up injury

Does anyone know if Donaghy is injured? Didn’t start last day out but was OK to come on late to help the defence out and made a few telling interventions. I sat through the entire 2nd half expecting to see him introduced as he was clearly needed.

On the game itself, just another of this era’s defining performances. You can criticise individual players if you want, but all I’ll say is that while it can be said that some teams never know when they’re beaten the opposite has become a key characteristic of Armagh under the current manager. Players have come and gone but the inconsistency and inability to see out a game from what should be an unassailable lead continues.
