genuinely think this is one of the biggest games Armagh have faced in years development wise..
if we lose we are in a relegation battle whilst if we win we have a chance for promotion.
management have to make the right calls on the team selection because if they mess up then we really are in diffs.

Yes, I'd put this down as the biggest game of McGeeney's reign to date. I think a win will put us on the brink of promotion and a defeat is too awful to even contemplate. This group needs promotion to show that any progress has been made.

We know we have better players than fermamagh so the onus is on management to ensure selection, tactics and attitude are correct. Clarke should be starting.

Paddypower have us priced at 4/9 to be promoted and 16/1 to be relegated! I wish I shared their optimism.

Surely we go with the best possible team from here on in so we are ready for Championship and give promotion the best shot.

A division 2 final would also be a huge help at this stage in our development.

@Bert I totally agree that we have better players than Fermanagh, much better, likewise Clare so anything other than comfortable wins over both would be unsatisfactory. As for Roscommon, probably not much in it but if we hold any aspirations we need to be beating them.

@Diarmi I’m not sure about comfortable wins over Ferm/Clare. Brewster will be a scrap, probably low scoring. I’d take any win from there.

As for Clare, they’re no dozers. Beat Cavan in Breffni last week, so any win down there will be welcome and hard earned.

Roscommon game will give us more of a gauge as to where we’re really at right now.

3 crucial games ahead.

Agree that that may be the possible outcome of those games but my point is, we are a better team than both and should show it on the score board. Could you imagine how any Div 1 team would fare against them?

Being a better team on paper, you mean? That means nothing to be honest.

Whether you’re a better team or not, you still have to go out and win.

No doubt Armagh have some of the most talented players in Div 2, but as a team they are very inconsistent. If they meet a team of lesser ability they seem to drop down to their level.

What date is the final, has it been confirmed? Double header with.....? Have a work event in Dublin in the next few weeks so may as well try and take in a few games whilst there if it can be helped (no, im not suggesting Armagh will be there before anyone suggests I am putting the blink on us)
