I didn't get to the game on Saturday, so can only go by what other people who were there saw and commented on. Losing to Laois is disappointing and they really do have the hex sign over us. We just don't perform against them for whatever reason. Losing Forker and Grugan didn't help matters. No matter how much strength in depth we may have, those are two of our main leaders and who set the tone for everyone else. Defensively we are open at the back, especially down the middle and that seems to have been the case again on Saturday. Our goal kicks are also an issue, which is worrying as that is Hughes' supposed biggest asset. Criticising players from Junior clubs is a pretty weak argument. Donaghy has been one of Armagh's best players for the last 10 years and was arguably our best player last season. Jemar Hall was outstanding last year and really made huge steps forward. Patrick Burns was our best defender two seasons ago before injury. Being from a Junior club is totally irrelevant. Connaire Harrison, Cathal McShane and Eoin Donnelly are all from Junior clubs are some of the best players in the country.

Last weekend was bad, but let's park it and concentrate on the Kildare game, who had a bad loss at the weekend. We should be confident of facing them, as they aren't the team they were a few seasons back.

And who would u leave out in the forward line for him?
Soupy Grugan Osin
Jamie Rian Turbitt and Murnin when fit ahead him for me!!
As he said, "right now" I'd be replacing Jason Duffy. If Jamie and Andy were fully fit, you'd expect either of them to be ahead of Duffy too, but then that'd be a different scenario.

If your forward line was Jamie Clarke, Rory Grugan, Oisin O'Neill, Conor Turbitt, Rian O'Neill, Stefan Campbell, who would be dropped to let Andy in? It's a tough one. Some might say Stephan Sheridan, drop Oisin back there and bring in Andy, but there are a few different ways it could go and that's still a good position to be in.

Not so confident as I should be for Saturday. I feel a win is a must and we've been there before. To be brutally honest, that's when we're at our poorest. I genuinely believe we'd have more chance against Tyrone or Donegal at the minute, simply because when we're under pressure we up the performance against our biggest provincial rivals. Well, mostly.

To try and get back on track with me always getting predictions wrong (take a look at my prediction record in the section run by the milkman) I reckon we're winning on Saturday evening by 5.

There is a pretty big storm due Saturday from lunchtime with a weather warning already in place. Could be one of those games were the weather ruins it.......

I believe for Saturday night we should go with...

Hughes
Morgan Mckay Burns
P. Hughes Donaghy Forker
Grimley JOB
Jemar Grugan Oisin Oneill
Clarke Campbell Rian Oneill

I know Conor Turbitt doing well but i would use as impact player. Donaghy to hold the middle I would bring Campbell out to half forward line and leave Clarke and Rian inside. If Grugan is not fit i would play Clarke Chf and bring turbitt inside with Oneill.

We might not have a game folks if weather is right. Rte radio said is concern about games and safety of spectators if severe winds. Pitches might have issue as the rain is due in a short period mid afternoon and evening

I'd say they'll be doing everything they possibly can to ensure this match is played given that it is due to be televised. However player & supporter safety should be the priority.
