2020 season - write off?

Bit ridiculous every game is a Sunday, not much of a social life for the young Armagh GAA club footballer for the next few months off the back of a considerable lockdown, any wonder increased number of young people turning to other sports

How about both clubs discussing and agreeing to move to friday/Saturday night?

U19 games are on a Friday night so I assume this is why there is a lack of them at senior level. Most clubs will have these lads in senior squads.

U19/Minor used to be on Mondays, not sure the reason on Friday games now.

Hopefully be able to work out changes among themselves and move games were they can/want.

I see a lot of whining on media platforms about Sunday games
Friday night is U19 games
If teams don't have an U19 game on the Friday night make a phone call and ask the opposition to change.
Managers of teams think the other team will be short of players if the other team ring to request a date change
Its a shortened season
Isn't it great we can get out and play/watch games?
We can be quick to forget we weren't allowed to be at much not so long ago

Correct me if I’m wrong but wasn’t under 19s always played on a Monday night? Yes you can try and rearrange if boys prefer a Friday night but some lads plan around the official fixtures so it may not always suit the opposition. Disgraceful from the CB in my opinion to put every single game for some clubs down for a Sunday afternoon. And then we wonder why numbers are dwindling for some clubs…

Croke Park reorganised age groups. In Armagh I think it is

Monday Under 17
Tuesday Under 13
Wednesday Reserve
Thursday Under 15
Friday Under 19

Armagh County Board hasn't managed to add an extra day to the week yet

But there was always a good number of senior games on a Friday night, surely under 19s could also play on a Tuesday or Wednesday night to accommodate senior football, no? They would still get a weekend out of it also

Tuesday is adult hurling
Wednesday is reserve football

Probably players involved in one of those nights

If clubs change the game as opposed to the predominantly paid manager dictating then it would be easier
