Season tickets becoming less appealing, price wise, as the years go on.
Totally agree. If we didn't have a pandemic absolutely I'd buy one but not worth it.
Yes we're in div 1 but if a normal match day ticket is €20 then you'd need to be watching a lot of other games to get value.

Problem is if they were cheaper then most stands couldn't cope with them except croke park.
If Armagh had 2,000 and mayo had 6,000 you wouldn't have 8,000 season ticket holders turning up but you'd expect 7000.
That'd mean at least 3000 season ticket holders in the terracing.

They'd have to limit season tickets to an amount that means at any given league game they'd be accommodated. Which would mean your season ticket would be limited to your own county thus reducing its cost.
If we all had all seater stadiums it would work

What if restrictions come in? As far as I’m aware, come championship, you can opt out of one game.

So, say we draw Fermanagh, Cavan, Derry to get to Ulster final. If I go to Fermanagh but opt out of Cavan. If I look for tickets in a restricted attendance v Derry, and don’t get one - am I still charged?

I’ve always maintained there should be a NFL-only season ticket as well. 7 (or possibly 8) games, you know the fixtures well in advance so you’ll know if you will likely be able to attend. Then choose to purchase the ticket or not based on that.

But with the championship, you just don’t know where you’ll be playing , if you go the qualifier route, which we have done on lots of occasions. It’s unfair to fans to expect them to fork out every weekend at a day or two notice, up and down the country. You could be in Waterford one weekend, then back down to Cork the next. And punishing fans by charging them even though they can’t afford to drive to the bottom of Ireland at short notice for the second week in a row.

I've purchased 2 today (1 as a Christmas present) moreso on the premise that if numbers for matches are reduced it might be Season ticket holders 1st & everyone else after & I'd hate to think I'd missed out because I hadn't bought the Season ticket which I've purchased for a number of years, especially with us having 4 home matches. However who knows what will happen over the next few weeks, but if I'm not allowed to attend I'll be expecting my money back :)

Confirmation at last - Looking forward to this.

Jeez I'm not sure I'd fancy us playing the Dubs the day after we've played & won the McKenna Cup final
