It’s impossible to compare the 3 different championships imo. How do you compare the performance of fellas playing junior football to Rian O’Neill or Stefan Campbell. Should be a separate one for each championship

I don't recall saying Cross should only have had 2 or 3, but the ones that get them must be deserved. This isn't about potential it's simply about performance and in this year's competition there was no way Rian O'Neill deserved this imo.

I agree on Kernan, he makes/made the cross tick, he called most of the defensive structure and he launched a high number of attacks.

I would have had 3/maybe 4 clans players in it, the 3 that got and young Sam. I never seen much of the intermediate but the Cullyhanna lads that got one all had a great final.

Would have included AK, Cumiskey, Oisín O'Neill for sure. Jamie Clarke or Cian could also have made the fold. For me there was no greater an individual performance than Campbell against CE and the greatest feat was Mc Partlan finishing top scorer from MF. For that reason he was my POTY.

It's an opinion piece and if you had 10 in a room picking these things it's likely there will be 10 diff teams. I just feel there has to be real justification for securing such a thing and the team that was picked there were a couple that just looked like one for the boys.
You questioned the inclusion and awarding of three Cross players, so......

I also stated that Rian didn't deserve one. But as I said, Soupy and McPartland did not perform on D day. Unfortunately, that's likely what the all star selectors mostly base their opinions on. No ones ever happy, but you always see the winning team awarded the most all star awards.

It's always hard to get these teams so that everyone agrees, for me Campbell was average in all games accept the semi final where he was outstanding, is that enough to get an all star? I don't know for me mcpartlan and young O'Neill where guarantees from the clanns I think Paul Hughes, AK,cumiskey, Oisin O'Neill and Jamie Clarke would be guarantees for me for cross that's 7 across the senior finalists I do think when over the 3 grades you can't give to a team that didn't make a final, so McCarthy shouldn't get one, I think hoey, Nugent and mcquillan where all correct shouts I'd also agree with murnin, all in all most of us on here would agree with maybe 12 of the 15

Yes but I replaced them with other Cross players and additional ones.
