Armagh Scór na nÓg final this Sunday

The Armagh county final of Scór na nÓg takes place this Sunday, starting at 2pm at in Silverbridge. The county final will showcase the very best talent from right across the county, as the young Gaels of Armagh proudly celebrate their own culture and heritage through song, music, drama and dance. Ceiliúradh mór ar chultúr na nGael atá ann agus beidh plúr na gceoltóirí, na n-amhránaithe, na scéalaithe agus na rinceoirí sa chontae ar an ardán.

The entertainment will get underway with the instrumental groups from An Mullach Bán, Dromainn Tí, Béal Átha an Airgid and Cill Shléibhe in a break from the traditional format of Scór. The céilí dancing competition between Dromainn Tí and two teams from Cill Shléibhe will be followed by the solo singing competition, which features An Chrois Bhán, Cill Shléibhe, Raonaithe na Croise and Béal Átha an Airgid.
The recitation section sees competitors from Coilleach Eanach, Tír na nÓg, Cill Shléibhe and An Chrois Bhán and the ballad group section between Carraig Chrupáin, Dromainn Tí and two groups from Cill Shléibhe will take us up to the break.

Following the interval, three dramas from Dromann Tí, Cill Shléibhe and Coilleach Eanach will compete for the county title in the léiriú section, followed by the set dancers from Dromainn Tí and the 2018 county final will be wrapped up with the three person quiz featuring Dromainn Tí, Cú Chulainn, Coilleach Eanach, Cill Shléibhe, Tír na nÓg and Na Sairséiligh. The county champions will be presented with their medals by Armagh senior footballer Stephen Sheridan. The champions will go forward to represent Ard Mhacha in the Ulster semi-final at 3pm on Sunday 3 December in Galbally. The county Scór na nÓg table quiz will take place at the Athletic Grounds at 7.30pm on Monday 4 December.
