So Cross vs Silverbridge and Nab vs CE. I wonder how the Cross lads will get on with convincing everyone Silverbridge are favourites ;)

You’d expect Cross to win that one fairly easily. Nab and Clann Eireann a close one to call but expect the Lurgan men to come through it.

Possibly. Nearly sure it wasn’t a straight red anyway

Was a black card and he had a yellow card from wrestling with Cian McConville, or I should say he wrapped him up from behind, rolled him and fell on top of him and both got a card. Second red was harsh I thought, it wasnt a straight red. What I saw was a yellow and possibly a black for stopping someone’s movement, old style third man tackle. Unless something else happened I thought it was harsh. It hasn’t too much impact as the game was done at that stage. Killeavey actually brought it level with 14. Difference between the teams was the decision making in front of the goals. In the first half in particular Killeavey got within 35 yards of the goals and didn’t know what to do with it. Took pot shots from distance, some scores some didn’t. We got the ball to the man in the right place and got the right shot off most of the time.
Anyway, 3 out of 4 of the semi teams have either never won it or haven’t won it since the early 60s so likely to be a new name on the cup this year

Say it like it was. They got even but didn’t have the stones to push on.

Killeavy aren’t a million miles away. I was impressed with their defence and midfield. Kickouts and options in the forward line let them down today. Always felt cross had an extra gear though, will be hard to stop now

Well done to Clann Eireann on the win this evening, that Maghery team are done

What a horrid statement against a Maghery side who have been brilliant over the past few seasons. If you go through all of the teams there is a huge reliance on old heads. So to use the term done is despicable.

Congratulations to Cross, no arguments that the better team won. If we had got a handle on our own kickouts and made a few better decisions in front of goal it would have brought us a lot closer. I don't think the margain of defeat reflected the game (two Red cards in the final quarter were always going to have Cross smelling blood). Mind you it was obvious enough that even when we got level with 10minutes to go, we weren't going to have the firepower to get or stay ahead.

I don't think we are a million miles away. Clearly our kickouts murdered us yesterday, Cross got 5 or 6 points off them at crucial times. Lacked firepower up front too, but there are some good young players there that can learn from this.

Two O'Neills were classy without getting out of third gear. Thought McConville in goals had a great day with kicking

As ever the physicality and intensity Cross brought couldn't be matched. Best of luck to them.

Cross v Silverbridge I can only foresee one winner from this tie. Cross haven’t really been tested apart from Clans nearly giving them a scare. They’ll see this one out with a bit to spare.

Clann Éireann v Ballymacnab intriguing tie here. Nab will definitely fancy their chances. CE will be buoyed after dethroning Maghery. They get the nod to just edge it

He kept going on about kicking the ball into the European Union. I think he thought he was in Culloville.
Yeah it got a little bit annoying after a while. I really like him doing the games, but a joke wears thin after the 500th time. Have to say some of the other commentary has really improved too. Lots of great stats and information on players

I think we should appreciate our commentators, eccentricities and all. All volunteers. Anyone who has tried commentary knows it is bloody difficult.
