Clann Eireann still had to score 3 goals to beat the Nab they'll have to do the same against cross if their to win can't see them out scoring cross points wise
There’s goals in that Cross full back line and clearly in that Clann Eireann attack. They’ll likely score goals.

Should be a very good final two good teams with a lot of very good talented players on both sides, Cross have a lot of experience at this level but they should not under estimate Clann Eireann who have a top class forward line, I think we can look forward to a real good game.

I would agree and I don’t expect there to be more than a few points either way in it. CE have been building to this for the last 10 years. Watching them against us at underage it’s clear that they have a solid strategy and their players are starting to show it. In Kelly and Turbitt they have real talents but there’s talent all over the pitch.
Like a broken record, MF is where it will be won or lost. At the weekend the Bridge needed to dominate MF but it never happened for them. The same for CE in the final. Much is written about the O Neill’s but it’s the ‘lesser lights’ will win or lose it for us. If they step up round the middle we win. If they don’t it’s gonna be hard.

The one advantage we have that CE don’t is experience of playing in the final. The next few weeks will be a bit of a whirlwind for their players. For us it’s business as usual. How players react to that can be huge and could have a massive bearing on it too.

Goals will win the game and I just think Clann Éireann have a wee bit more zip about them - they have the athleticism and free-scoring ability to really trouble Cross. At the other end, if they can contain O’Neill’s x2 & McConville they really have a chance.

Have Crossmaglen been tested so far this championship? Perhaps in the preliminary, missing men and behind for half the match but still pulled it out of the bag, the other games seemed to have taken a similar theme with Cross winning pulling up. Clann Éireann on the other hand have probably faced and beaten better teams in Maghery and the Nab which will stand to them. The real test for them is staying focused and grounded in the build up to the final and not letting the occasion get to them.

We hear a lot of talk of the ball hiting the back of the net I often wonder where is the front of the net.
Just been checking that out and seems you may be onto something. The front of the net is the side directly facing the back of the net, so yes it seems they "hit the front of the net". That's because hitting the back of the net means they missed and probably rebounded off the advertising hoarding :D

Hitting the back of the net, could also mean they scored a point. If it was a big high, snow-gathering kick like, and just cleared the crossbar, hitting the ‘back’ of the net as it came down.

Have to make Cross warm favourites and it's not because they are world beaters, but i feel their forward line will be able to do the damage to CE. Young Mc Conville has been the player of the Championship so far, he is unmarkable and gets on with the job at hand. He is a class act altogether and has a great future ahead of him (very like the father). CE were marked tight against Maghery but Maghery just didn't have anything up front to add to the score board. Cross will mark them on a different level and disrupt any flow of play that they try to establish around the middle sections. Cross should also have the fire power up front to rack up the scores. CE have some great young talent, but i don't see any world beaters. They are young and fit and work well as a team, they have a few flare players but I feel they have yet to be fully tested at a real championship level. I feel the championship this year has been of a low enough standard, hence why so many teams were in with a chance of winning it. Morgan will also be crucial to cross and he has been having a good year, playing a little deeper and being able to break lines for them. He must keep his discipline though(which I always doubt with him)I think if Cross knuckle down to the task they will win with 5 or 6 to spare. I am hoping there isn't a stickler ref appointed who is going to blow everything all day. If that is the case it may suit CE as Cross are certainly more cynical. Going into Ulster, I think we are in for a short winter :D

Somehow, this reminds me of the David Coleman classic ' if the ball had gone an inch either side of the post, it was a goal'

Who have we watched who deserves a call up to county squad this year?
McConville and Morris from Cross.
Lennox, O’Hagan and McPartlin from Clanns
Woods and Keenan from Cruppen
Rowland from Culloville
McCambridge from Clann Eireann (one or 2 others as well whos names i can’t think of)
O’Neill from Belleek
Conlon and the lad who did a great job on Jemar Hall from Tullysaran (can’t think of his name either)

I know a couple of them have been on the squad in the past but all have been very good from what I’ve seen of them

While it would be good for football in Armagh if Clann Eireann could win (I know Cross people will not agree) - I doubt if CE will be able to blunt the scoring of the 2 O'Neills and McConville whilst Cross will likely be able to better restrict the CE forwards.
Bur maybe the CE boys have confidence from under age successes and will go out with no fear. So long as the occasion does not get go them, we could see a competitive game. They will need to stay the distance with Cross as in the last 2 games Cross gave pulled away in the last 20 minutes.

Clann Eireann are on a different level to what Cross have faced so far, but can seen Cross being too strong around the middle for them.

McCambridge & Rowland are on the panel,to say someone should be on the panel cause they marked hall out of the game is ridiculous it's not like Hall is a top player like
