Championship 2021

Dorsey v Belleek should have too much for a Dorsey side that aren’t up to much
Cross v Derrynoose Cross will edge this by one or two. Double on the cards.

Cruppen v Tullysaran Tullysaran with a wee bit more cuteness to overcome a Cruppen side that will take them all the way, wouldn’t surprise me if they nicked it.
Culloville v Sarsfields Sarsfield’s will have too much for Culloville. Culloville have done well to dispatch Shane’s and then a poor St. Paul’s team who they were no doubt sick looking at.

Sarsfield’s will win this championship, head and shoulders above all the teams left and won’t be caught napping like they were last year. They are the only team who have it in their locker to mix it with Div 1A & B teams.

Help me out here, as there's something I can't see. You went to Collegeland and Cruppen as a neutral, despite having the username CruppinAbu and Carrickcruppin as your Club?
If you had of read my previous msgs I cleared stated although my name suggests i support Cruppen I actually don’t, was a bit of a joke with my mate. Cleared up for you bosco?

Sarsfields are undoubtedly by some distance the strongest team left but definitely a decent draw for cruppen and tullysarron as both will fancy their chances of getting to the final .

Considering I was at the cruppen vs collegeland as a neutral I’d say the land would be entitled to say they were unlucky, on another day with an actual footballing ref and not a hurling one they would have won, so you wouldn’t be the most intelligent footballing man

Cruppen where short that day and easily kicked 15-20 wides. So what are you saying a better ref and they would have won? You do realise the ref cant put the ball over the bar for the land. :)

We will see what Culloville have to say about that. They arn't gonna let Sarsfields away as easy as Clonmore and Whitecross. They will be prepared considering they just dumped last years finalists and Shane O'Neill's out.

Culloville would be quietly confident against Sarsfields. If they can win their own kickouts unlike Whitecross did yesterday they’ll have a fighting chance, Sarsfields big name forwards didnt really do much apart a period early in the second half where they stretched their lead but never looked like tagging on a big score against s team that lost their full back after 2 minutes and got their full forward black carded early on.

Culloville will give them their fill of it and have the forwards to do damage. Going to back them to come through a real battle.

Cruppen and Tullysarran will be another interesting one, both came through quarter finals against decent teams with a bit to spare. I reckon Tullysarran have the forwards to cause Cruppen trouble and are probably well enough set up defensively to stop Cruppens forwards. Tullysarran to win another close game.

Junior-Belleek should beat Dorsey fairly handy.

Cross to beat Derrynoose in a close game.

If raining and a heavy pitch I fancy culloville to give sarsfields their full of it as well
Cruppen have a kick in them and are going places , definitely they they can get to
The final

Wise up Culloville haven’t a hope. They’ll not roll over and lie down but they’ve nothing to bring off the bench and have a terrible defence. Beating a bad St Paul’s team and a Shane’s team that couldn’t score paint isn’t that remarkable

Culloville have earned the right firstly not to be written off automatically, and secondly to be considered the second best team remaining in the intermediate. They've a couple of forwards who'd get on for any team in the county and are obviously going well.

I still can't see it being enough, Sarsfields too strong on paper but one small thing in their favour could be that Sarsfields have always been a confident bunch and you wouldn't be surprised to see a bit of complacency sinking in

It is exactly this reason why I think Sarsfield’s will win. They dropped down to intermediate and thought it was just a case of bouncing straight back again, a humbling defeat to Tullysaran in the championship soon put paid to that last year (their last defeat in league or championship).

They’ve a new, experienced all-Ireland winning management. They have strength all over the field with options off the bench. They also know Culloville inside out (and likewise). Culloville rely on the same 4/5 players to drag them over the line which won’t be enough against a team that should really be playing senior football.

It will be a complete and utter shock if the relegated Culloville turnover league champions Sarsfield’s.

Lads I know most people have Sarsfields home and hosed, but just looking at league tables, what happens for next year if one of the other 3 win it?

As it stand Sarsfields go up as league winners, do Clanns join them as last years championship winners? Say Tullysarran win it, do all 3 go up?

My understanding is that, in this instance, 3 teams are promoted. That leaves 9 in the division for next year instead of 8. And it would be resolved by relegating 3 teams in 2022.
