Down winning nothing since 1994!

They never tire of telling us they've won 5 All Ireland's but that they've not won anything in 27 years really is a thing of joy, and makes up a bit for Armagh also being rubbish at times during the last 27 years. I think we should have a banner reminding them of this at Armagh games, petty I know, but great craic all the same. What has been your highlight of their years of misery folks? Mine, I would have to say was actually beating them in the Division 2 League Final in 2010. It meant nothing to us to win it, but we still beat them and denied them a bit of silverware. Beautiful!

I'd be careful and not gloat too much. Unless we really shape up, it wouldn't take a lot for momentum between us to swing back to the Mournemen.

But having said that, I really enjoyed was the 2011 championship evening at the AG. Down had been in All Ireland final previous year and on that Saturday night we never looked like losing that game. But what really set the scene was the opening minor game. Down were coasting due to us conceding a series of calamitous goals-I think they scored 4 in the first half and another early in the second. Somehow the lads slowly and surely clawed it back and won in an amazing finale with a penalty kick. Down ones were shell shocked and were too spooked to get riled up for the senior game. Caolan Mooney played that day and was sickened to the point that he headed off to AFL shortly afterwards

2008 was a sweet one, they came in to Clones thinking they were closing the gap! how wrong they were we dominated them from start to finish after there fans thought they had already won the ulster championship in the previous round. A county seriously living in the past which I believe has led to their demise. I think it's fair to say any Ulster county would be happy enough to draw them in the championship next year. The orchard takeover of Newry in 2019 was another good day we outnumbered there support probably 5 to 1 at their own ground although we should have beat them by about ten points that day and let them back into the game. But overall despite some disappointing days in the last 20 years for Armagh 03 & 05 against tyrone, 06 kerry and 04 against fermanagh them lot have provided some great entertainment down through the years for us south armagh orchard fans!
We have won 7 Ulsters 1 all ireland 4 national leagues since any form of silverware has entered the mournes imagine someone told you that in the 90s.

Didn't take long for the disguised to come out, I think yous haven't been able to come to grips with the title of the forum. Pete your recent managerial record is even more embarassing I can assure you of that

Why don't you add your recent relegation with your home club and your recent relegations with fermanagh and louth
