This is easy to say, but they have a capacity for legal and insurance purposes and you are telling them to ignore those rules.
You sound like great craic!
Wise up - a 2 year old!!!
The GAA needs to get back to being what it should be - a sports and cultural organisation owned by the members for the members. Sit the 2 year old on your knee - and if anyone objects, tell them what to do.
totally agree. People wonder why they are called the grab all association!

Serious depth and competition for places
My ideal starting 15 and in brackets a player / sub to cover off each position.

Here’s to hopefully a great year with the orchard county. As always we will bring the noise, colour and cheer #ArdMhachaAbu
Strong looking squad. Is Ciaron O’Hanlon back from injury?

I agree. And might proved to be foolish come Saturday night. But expecting Armagh to win handy enough. If we play close to our potential then think we are too strong for Monaghan

Always a tight affair, especially based on recent games, however Monaghan on the wane and we are on the up.... Close first 45 mins, with us winning it in last quarter by 3/4 points come the long whistle.

Monaghan 1-11
Armagh 2-12

Post is a great indicator of our strength in depth and there are probably players in brackets who others would have starting. Also considering injured players like Oisin O’Neill and developing players like Rice and Cian McConville to add to the list.

Is Joe McElroy back? If so thats a major positive addition his form for Harps was superb last year.

If we get our tactics right and play to our strengths we can easily be in the top half of the league and aiming for the latter stages of the AI.
Proper depth there. I think it's important to start strong in this game as we don't want to be bogged down in a defensive game. I think if Armagh stick to what they did last year I see a 2/3 point win . I did hear McElroy was back but he didn't get a run in McKenna cup and squad was surely trimmed last week so interesting to see if he is in there

And will also be good to see if McQuillan can make an impact this year.
I'm looking forward to this game, but wary. Monaghan are on the wane but still have plenty of quality-McCarron can be a game changer by himself. Its also difficult to know the immediate effect that a change of manager will have. Vinnie Corey is a popular figure among the players and could generate bit of a bounce to their early performances. As I mentioned earlier, if Monaghan want to avoid worries about the drop-they will have been targeting this first home game as a must win.
We do have the quality and firepower to win this by quite a few. But could be an edgy battle in the muck and gutters against a fired up Monaghan.

I heard last week Monaghan trained on Saturday from 9am to 4pm. On pitch in the morning and analysis meeting in afternoon. So they're definitely targeting this game. I honestly think this will be a lot lot closer than people think. Monaghan are struggling in defence and midfield (similar to Armagh?) but have a serious forward line with McCarron, McCarthy, O'Hanlon, Bannigan and Jones. Will not be easily stopped.

Does the squad be trimmed? Is there not 40+ that train with county?

Be good to see McElroy back, good player

Totally agree.

Are we capable of winning this one? Yep. Are we capable of losing this one? Yep.

First game of the league. New Monaghan manager, some new players. Unfamiliar ground for us. You just never know.

I’m wary of this one. And I’m wary of people’s confidence in us winning this one.

And I’m not saying we can’t go and win it. But I know how these things tend to go. Win by a point and we’re world beaters. Lose by a point and we’re all useless.

PS. It’s strange how level-headed you can be @pablo , especially with having to wear that big over-sized hat of yours all the time.

Bloody useless bunch of nothing shits. Damn stupid team with no direction or game plan. Get that manager out!!

As I won't be around from Sunday until Wednesday, I thought I'd get the reaction to the loss started

Absolutely brilliant lads. Shaping up well and looking good. Let's not get ahead of ourselves though!!

Monaghan are a very well run county when you consider population and how well they do underage. I am not underestimating them anything can happen and they are a tough nut to crack but I am hopeful of a win but better teams than us have lost away to Monaghan
