A few mentions above of Fermanagh in 2004 - i think that is correct. For me, I thought the Armagh team came out for the 2nd half yesterday thinking that the job was done and they would stroll to a victory (as they thought in 2004 also).
When a team switches off like that, and the attitude is not right, they cannot then 'flick a switch' and turn the power on again.

Yesterday was a big loss - lose this weekend and we are indeed starting to get pulled into a relegation battle.

Time for some of our experienced players to find some form (Forker, Grugan etc) and for our new breed to deliver on potential (Kelly, Turbitt, Jarly Og etc). Also, management need to step up too, with better game plans and in-game changes that positively impact on the outcome of games.

Nugent is a massive loss - WTF is happening with these never ending injury lists?
O O’Neill
A Nugent
Ben Crealy
Greg McCabe
James Morgan
S Sheridan
Connaire Mackin

With Grimley & Ciaran Mackin still making their way back

We could have got something from this game if we kept chipping over the points regardless of how bad we played 2nd half. Started going for goals with 10mins plus injury time left when simple score was on. Really poor game management for a county side.

Other top teams have workhorse players, but none are completely terrified to shoot or even kick the ball the way Hall is. Simple hard work cannot be enough to justify his place in the starting 15.

McQuillan shows something every time he’s brought on. Can’t understand what he has to do to get more than 10 minutes.

Forker, Campbell, and Grugan have been the county’s 3 stalwarts over the years, but all 3 have been awful so far. Forker never had pace to begin with, but seems to be even slower this year. Forwards are nearly 10 years younger than him now and anyone with pace is going to destroy him.
I expect Campbell and Grugan to be fine but the Soupy midfield experiment needs to end now. If they can get Oisin O’Neill or Grimley fit they’re obvious starters as they need a fetcher in midfield

Campbell wasn't at the races on Sunday, but not sure where this notion is coming from that he has been poor this year. He essentially won us the Monaghan game with two huge points when things could have went either way. And his direct ball carrying won a hape of subsequently converted frees against Mayo.

Fair few other boys in worse form over the last three games.

Would disagree that Campbell has been awful, he has not been at last years high standards but has been far from awful, and is also playing out of position.
Think it is quite telling that the only game we have won is the only game we raised the green flag, and that was a lucky goal by any man's standards. With the forwards we have I do think we need the get more clinical in front of goal.

10 yrs ago I think I drove to Tralee and back having seen us win and Forker I think top scorer ...wouldn't mind that the weekend.

The Duffy goal chance in the first half was a game changer. Top teams (Kerry, Dublin, Mayo) put that ball in the net. That would have put us 5 point up if I remember correctly and gave us a decent push going into half time.

Second half was just a disaster. Forker was roasted in the fb line, and soupy was atrocious- one of the worst displays ive seen from an inter county football. I am in no way having a dig at his quality, but he had an absolute stinker on Sunday.

I have a feeling 5 points may be enough to keep us up. Donegal are shocking, and Monaghan are not much better.

Il have first guess then;

Rafferty
Morgan/Finn, McKay, Burns
O'Neill, McCabe, Jarly
Mackin, O'Neill
Campbell, Grugan, McQuillan
Duffy, Murnin, Forker (To play as a sweeper in front of DC)

Out of interest is it 3 tolls now Drogheda M50 and near Limerick now a days?
Tolls are at Drogheda, M50 (I usually pay that at the Applegreen) and another on the far side of Portlaoise.

Bring correct change for the M1 and M7 tolls as I think they’re unmanned (or unwomanned) now.
