Disappointed not to be getting a result there which is impressive away to Kerry considering the players we are missing. Think we need to leave Rian inside more- his presence alone draws extra defenders and causes panic, leaving room for others. Defence was outstanding- McCambridge made Clifford look average for the most part, would barely have known he was playing- same with Paudie and Sean O’Shea. Plenty of positives but again left with regrets- whatever Rian was at with that long range free, the daft foul off the ball for their late free, McKay dropping that ball- could go on all day about mistakes. Massive few weeks now, well able to and need to be beating Donegal and Galway.

A moral victory and again it's a lack of discipline at vital times and a lack of confidence to see these games out. It's hard to believe that we leave with nothing after that effort but that's football. Bigger games ahead now - Galway and Donegal are acid tests for this group. If it doesn't go to plan, well, there's always the battle of Omagh

We were within a point of the AI champions. I am hoping for a decent year but no chance of winning anything simply because defence is a massive flaw in the team that is nowhere near being resolved. Can't expect forwards to do their jobs when they're having to defend

Disappointing result - but an encouraging defensive performance. Some terrible scores given away near the end - silly fouls by Hall and McQuillan, and McKay's dropped ball.

However for the 2nd week in a row - our forwards have failed to score enough.

We are 'not far away' - but unfortunately s7ch a place gets you nothing.

Must win games now against Donegal and Galway.

Couldn’t fault any of the 6 defenders today I thought (bar McKays mistake late on, but they happen and I’m sure the lad is kicking himself). A few times ball into the forwards wasn’t good enough and we did leave too few up top so it was a thankless task for whoever was inside

Clifford was scared of Patrick Burns today - what a defender. Best I’ve seen in an armagh jersey in a long time

I'm probably in the minority here , although I wasn't at the match today , in the last 4 games and in the McKenna Cup I definitely think that we have regressed , bar 10 minutes in the 2nd half against Monaghan the free flowing attacking football that won us games last year has gone , and now we seem to be back to defensive , lateral , slow football , the same type of football that has made us lose big Ulster championship games over the past number of years . Today we played a Kerry team that were very undercooked , maybe you could argue that we didn't let them play but I don't think that was the case , all there big players were well off the boil , and when they did move the ball at speed with purpose they troubled us a lot more than we troubled them . it seemed to me that we went out and set up today for damage limitation , not to try and win the game , even when we were 2 points up in the second half if you had of offered me 100/1 for us to win I would not have touched it , the result was inevitable.

The decision making of the team is very poor , our transitions from defense are slow and easily dealt with , the speed is gone from last year , also we are hitting aimless balls into the forward line giving them no chance , the quick diagonal ball or pass into the front of the player has stopped and we are not creating any goal chances , and in the few that we have created the execution has been terrible . Kick outs are being banged down the middle and stronger midfields are going to clean us out . The only positive has been Andy Murnins return to form , maybe Turbitt as well has shown glimpses , Rian is being neutralized playing to far away from the full forward line. I cant understand the under use of McQuillan , Cian McConville and others , okay we have a number of injuries but still we cant rely on these players coming back and solving all the problems listed , some might not get back , I think we need to see big changes or it will be the old story of one year forward and two back , which has been the theme recently .

Funny it thought their defensive display was a big positive to take out of the game Structure was good and contained Kerry well.

But I think it was at the expense of our attacking capabilities. It's either all out attack or all out defence

I kinda agree with some of this, I think we haven't played as well as last year yet but it's still early on and we have loads of injuries maybe we are trying a few different things in the league before championship, the league is the place to try things, the big thing we seem to be doing is a zonal defensive shape,

Personally I feel today was our most complete performance to date in the league.

I accept we didn't post a big score. But we were beat by one point by the current All Ireland champs. And couple bounces of the ball was difference between winning and losing.

I would be very confident of beating Donegal next week

Would you ever get away and stop posting that truth telling stuff ye boyo ye. No one here wants to hear it as it actually was ya charlatan. For heavens sake having a moan is what it's all about. Coming here thinking you're King of the...........he's wha?? King who? Oh look there's my butterfly again!

Ok so I didn't get today to the game, long story I can't get into. I'm gonna have a watch tomorrow I hope, but had to listen on RTE radio 1 in the car. They totally said the result was exactly what Kerry deserved as a and they stressed several times, a MUCH better team than a gallant Armagh side that lacks cohesion and talent where it matters. Reading the comments here it seems even the nay sayers would disagree with that total description or am I reading things wrong.

I'm heartened by the fact that we finished a point behind the current ultimate champions in their own cauldron in their own backyard. Not so very long ago we'd have been annihilated by them and few would even allow us to consider being in the same division, never mind competing. Sounds like we have serious work to do, OR, are we doing that and experimenting with the big teams to see how we go a step further again in the summer??????. Interesting times, but maybe I will change my mind after watching the game.

Oh and just one other thing, McGeeney getting a yellow card!!!!! Is this a new thing now to card managers "soccer style?" and what the hell was it for???
