Just watched highlights on TG4. To me the penalty decision looked ridiculous on a second viewing. Refereeing decisions aren't helping at minute. Hopefully they even up over the year.
tug on jersey by defender was on 20 metre line not in penalty area which was my impression at the time not even close to a penalty

Yeah probably harsh alright. Did we have any goal chances yesterday? They seemed to have 4 or 5, especially in the 2nd half. In fairness to Mackin he made an unreal tackle when it seemed a certain goal to Meath with about 15 to go.

I'd agree with a lot said here yesterday was very frustrating.. do think win would change a lot of things improving confidence mainly as at times we seem to panic which is leading to mistakes.. at least we at home next are we getting the pip the tipp hashtag out again.

We didn’t create anything like a goal chance

Yeah couldn't think of any myself. Interesting how Meath committed a lot of bodies forward against the wind which we didn't do, maybe made the difference. We definitely seemed to retract back with 10 to go - wonder was this an order from the line - a result of tired legs - or just a lack of confidence?

How can a mostly young team like kerry go toe to toe with dublin for seventy plus minutes? Armagh used to be ahead of most teams in terms of fitness and conditioning now we are nowhere near the top teams.

you can't compare the Armagh team from the early 2000 to this Armagh team FFS

Odds:

Armagh to be promoted 4/1
Armagh to be relegated 9/4
Armagh to win league final 11/1

According to Paddy Power, it's all still to play for

Got a chance to watch the TG4 highlights this morning. It's impossible to read a game from 3 or 4 minutes of selected clips, but based on what I watched one small question, bar once or twice that was shown, did we put any pressure at all on the Meath shooter or player in possession. Maybe it's more pronounced because I didn't get on Sunday or maybe this is the way we are now playing. Someone please reassure me we didn't use that (non-PC) limp wristed almost fairy like attempts at stopping attacks or shots. I've acknowledged it's hard to tell from such a limited amount of footage, but holy lord there was little effort from what I seen. If it's true that we played against a high wind in the first half and therefore maybe exhausted the legs and weren't able to maintain the level in the second half, the lads must be seriously unfit.

One other point, again not sure based on a few seconds, but if soupy was taken off after that last score shown, then I have to assume it's to try and avoid injury, because he didn't look tired at that stage.

Seen highlights last night too. Penalty decision was very soft.

Second goal, Sheridan allowed man to turn him along the end line. Was always told, hug the line, and if your man tries to come past you on the line, you drive him out over it! It’s the little things.

Thought that at the time couldn’t believe he took soupy off as he was after getting a couple of scores. Thought the two wing hfs should have been the first for the curly finger
