Jaysus, there must have been a fierce wind last night. The posts were swaying all over the place!

Was it really that windy or are Donegal’s goalposts just really shite?
Yeah it really was that windy Pat. Gusts estimated between 40 and 50 mph +

I honestly believe if the game hadn't have been on tv box thingy, it may have been put back 24 hours.

And that was nothing, did the see the snow in Kerry?? Last week tropical, this week arctic. Living on an island in the Atlantic sure makes life interesting!

Seen that odd call with limited capacity in cross
I was at the minor games yesterday and AG does look a bit rough. Can't remember it like that in an awful long time.

I'd imagine it's possibly due to the MacRory final on the Monday and it needing to be in better shape for that and with Cross not having lights it possibly suits for that time. Mind you I always love the atmosphere in a packed Crossmaglen. It can be intimidating as everyone is close to the action. Might work for us.

don’t know what all this is about Mackin being poor I thought he’s been steady enough and probably one of our best in the win against Tipperary .
Just watched the highlights there now along with Sheridan Grugan could be in trouble for his part in the wee scuffle for Morgan’s red card.
Funnily enough at the time a guy beside us said something about Gruggan but we never noticed it. Was told the red for Morgan was for unlawful use of the knees!! Camera angle isn't that clear and I was thinking he hadn't done anything and was maybe wrongly picked out, but seems it was fair enough.

Jesus our discipline really is an issue! Fermanagh will exploit that if any of our previous games are anything to go by. They're very like the way Donegal play acted last night. We just have to get stuck in [in a good way] and play them at that game going down every time they even make a run!

Considering how the Tipperary player got his suspension overturned from Armagh match and the Roscommon player accused of eye gouging only got a one match ban what will happen is anyone's guess. Going by our luck this year Morgan and Grugan will get one match bans and Sheridan a 3 month ban. Oh and as the independent reported Niall Grimley was lucky not to see red he will probably get a ban for having his name in the paper ! In addition a Fermanagh referee will be appointed.;)

On another note given how the games are being refereed diving, goading etc is flourishing. Watching the matches on TG4 today was frustrating the amount of soft frees and how a player can get a player on a yellow sent off by starting a bit of grappling. This type of refereeing is encouraging much of the turgid football we see now.

Was the ladies match not to be played in the Athletic Grounds before the men's game in athletic grounds on saturday

I have talked about discipline quite a bit on this site - it is without a doubt our Achilles heal and we foul far too much (would love to see stats on that). The way Fermangh are going I would expect them to beat us and then it'll come down to a playoff with Cork who are very Jekyll and Hyde - so a complete lottery. Don't be surprised to be languishing in Division 3 again next year.

did Crossmaglen or the CB switch the Fermanagh game to Crossmaglen & the Cork back to the Athleic Ground ? i thought the Armagh vs Fermanagh game was down as a double header with the Ladies game in the Athletics Ground!

It was down as part of a double header with the ladies, not sure what the story is now.

Surely they'd still be able to have the double header unless ladies aren't allowed in Crossmaglen :D
