We never seem to talk about club football on this forum as often anymore ? Would that be due to the seniors improving more and people care about it or is due to the fact that Armagh club football isn’t entertaining? I remember the old forum used to be great discussions on the club championships

It is quite open this year.
Cross probably favourites - but Maghery, Ballymacnab, Killeavey will fancy their chances.

I see Oisin mcconville is writing about Jamie Clarke in the Belfast telegraph. All must not be well in cross at the moment

What has he said?
Didn’t read it but essentially it was that Jamie didn’t play due to a football decision. Was told that from someone who did read it. What i have been told from Someone within the squad supports this position. It really is a nothing story created by someone who is no longer part of the set up. What his motivation is I do not know

None of the ties you can call with any degree of certainty apart from maybe Cross defeating Dromintee. I just can’t see how Dromintee would pull it off. The rest are 50/50, with Ballymacnab v Maghery tie of the round.

If Cross play like they did against Silverbridge for most of the game they’ll be beat but I think they’ll lift it a gear

More often than not teams can go toe to toe with Cross for 40/50mins but they always seem to have that extra gear to kick on… when is the last time Dromintee beat Cross in championship football?

Never at senior from my knowledge. They have been back in senior since 1996. Since then we have lost to Pearse Ogs, Maghery twice, Cullyhanna once and last year in the final to CE.

Saying that they’ve been beat 4 of the last 6 years, they’re not the juggernaut of old, I don’t think Dromintee will beat them but any team that makes the semis will fancy their chances against them.

Any of the teams left are capable of beating each other. Tightest the championship has been for years.
