If these games are at neutral venues, what’s the reward or incentive in finishing 2nd as opposed to 3rd?
The reward for finishing 2nd is you are guaranteed to play a 3rd place. I agree on the venue as I thought it was a mirror image of AI.

fixtures are on the Armagh websiteWhere did you see or hear that
You would have thought that would be a cert for the Athletic GroundsHarsh on clan na Gael having to go to cross to play dromintee. Hardly half way and not really any advantage for finishing 2nd
That’s harsh on the club alright. Busy few days for yous. Surely the county board do the right thing and atleast move the game to the Friday night to help out with the other teams within the clubYes you would have thought that, instead they have came up with this fixture. Not only does it disavantage the Clans in terms of distance to travel (as they were the higher placed team) It will also clash with the senior ladies Intermiediate semi final which is in Mullaghbawn at 6. Aswell as that it will only allow the minors that may figure a one day recovery before they play in the Minor final on the Monday evening. It just seems like they have shafted them in every way possible and then fixed all the other games for the Ath grounds giving them all a run out at the venue. It's really difficult to get your head round it.
Yeah I thought it would have been Armagh, or even ballyhegan, Blackwatertown or the grange wouldn’t be as badKeady travelling to Lurgan to play Annaghmore? I do not see the sense in that at all.
If a Friday night game could of been accommodated it should of been, but asking a team to drive an extra 25mins from Armagh to Cross to the county’s second pitch isn’t the end of the world.I can’t imagine it’s easy fixing championship games with a week turnaround; and hats off to those volunteers that administer our games… but sometimes you really have to question the thought process involved.
Bad form if it’s true that Clans had requested a Friday night fixture in advance (with good reason) and were instead handed a Saturday fixture (in Crossmaglen) at the same time their senior ladies and with a minor final 2 days after.

I’m a bit like OneofTwo, no love lost when it comes to the Lurgan Blues. I just don’t see what possible reason their request couldn’t have been accommodated. If a Friday night game could of been accommodated it should of been, but asking a team to drive an extra 25mins from Armagh to Cross to the county’s second pitch isn’t the end of the world.
Just realised that Nab is playing friday night in armagh. At first i taught friday night had no games on
Jesus, the county board has a lot to answer for. To me its more a case of them shoving it to clanns and saying, Use do what we say, not vice versa.
On a side note, if one of the minor players got a red card, is that them out of the minor final, or does this just apply to the same competition?
