Either way with Ballyhegan in the junior final a North Armagh treble is likely. Power base in football has definitely shifted with Clans dominating the minors as well. Could be a quiet few years trophies wise….
Crossmaglen love this...will play down their chances as much as they can. Minor success doesn't always mean adult success, Clanns and CE will be competing yes and it is great for Armagh Football, but the old guard will still remain. Cross have good youth prospects too!

It’s no good anymore, no one bites no matter how hard I try!

But seriously of course we I’ll be favourites but just by a nose I reckon. Clans are coming into the final on the back of a great victory over CE so the confidence that will bring is huge. Soupy is top class and the supporting cast are very good. They have a lot of strong young legs which may stretch our older legs so that’s a worry and they have the ‘tradition’. Let’s face it Clans V Cross is the dream final.

The one thing that will be interesting is how they cope with the build up. Some of these young lads were in nappies the last time Clans were in a final and very few of the squad were born the last time they won it. A gap of nearly 30 years is unheard of in a club like theirs. A lot of pressure…..

Now now, less of your mind games… Cross and Cullyhanna both firm favourites - as are Ballyhegan!

Clan Na Gael out scored Clann Eireann 12 point's to 1-1 in the last 15 mins of normal time & extra time, when it comes down to it I'd be looking at me own house more than the officials at the end of the day
I think this can be two separate points.
1. Quality of officiating on Sat night
2. Who deserved to win - Clan na Gael did

Mixing the two overlooks the challenge with the first point

I think cross looked just ok, I did expect more from them if I'm honest the players they have is scary, maybe they are trying to be too tactical but imo they are best pushing high up and playing front foot football, I thought oisin O'Neill was probably the pick of the players, great to see him back playing well, I'd still have cross as favourites as they won the semi final without Finnegan, Fitzpatrick and Morgan which shows they have good depth, but clan na Gael will be tough one thing about the young lads coming in for them is they are used to winning and that's a habit they have yet to taste defeat and know how to win, I'm looking forward to the game, cross by 3 or 4 for me though, the intermediate will be a good game too I think it will have loads of goals and cullyhanna should come out as winners in that game

Bookmakers don’t seem to share bcb1’s sentiment about Cross being on the cusp of a long drought.

St Paul’s not being given much of a chance either.

I’m not saying Cross has anything to do with the process. But the majority of people following Armagh GAA knows the story with Faloon. And there are people within the CB / referees group that know who is best to get a job done if needed.

Surely if the Faloon/Cross love-in is what you say it is he’d have been refereeing on Sunday and not Saturday?
