So if you don’t start on the Sunday for the first team then you can play reserve on the Wednesday. Presume it would be the same for Cross boys from both panels.

Some going to be able to field teams in all 3!
Yes, I had thought that - makes for a fairly strong reserve side in that case!

I know Errigal Ciaran in Tyrone field a 3rds team in the Junior league/championship, with their senior reserves playing in the reserve league. Their 3rds even have/had a reserve team playing Junior reserve!

I think in the future the lurgan teams and crossmaglen and also the Armagh town teams will all have second teams because of sheer numbers, it's good to see lurgan going so well with gaa it overall will make Armagh better, be interesting to see this all-star match also, think it's a good idea, still would like maybe 4 divisional teams KO comp at some point but hard to find a spot on calendar for it,

Think they had both teams in finals the one year if I remember right! Lost both though.
‘Tis true…..was the year they beat us with the last minute goal in the semi.

Funny story about that, in the build up to the final Cross was awash with Cullyhanna ones. Stafford Eggs was doing 2 deliveries to all the shops whether they needed them or not….ValuLand was no longer much Valu unless you work red, black and yellow….the place was hiving with Lower Creggan ones! Anyone the final came and went with a double defeat for the St Pats men. The town was quieter the next day but still a few hardy boys made their way to Murtagh’s Pub for the Monday Club and the craic was good. One erstwhile man from near Freeduff was drowning his sorrows but still had time to make repeated wise craics about beating us. Some rose to the bait, others left him be. One man sat quietly drinking his bottles of Carlsberg. Former player and former members of management of us over the years. As the banter increased he turned and said to the Cullyhanna man ‘Congratulations on making the 2 finals and making history….youse did something we never did in Cross before…’. He asked what was that….’Youse useless hoors lost TWO finals in 1 day!’ Place went into uproar!!!!

Don’t think he called us useless hoors but it’s a good enough story
The actual true story was “we lost once in twenty years and use lost two in a couple of hours” …. Argument was well and truly over lol
But all was banter
