When it comes to keeping everyone safe from Covid-19 on match days– we’re all on the same team. If you’re going to a GAA match this summer, we need you to also play your part, and follow the new supporter code of conduct at all times. It’s great to have spectators back at games and here you’ll find the latest information you need to know.

GAA Spectator Code of Conduct

To make sure everyone going to a game has a safe and enjoyable day – make sure everyone in your match day team understands the new spectator code of conduct before arriving at the grounds

Before Arriving to the Match

  • Do not attend the match if you or any member of your household or social bubble have, or develop any symptoms of Covid-19, or, if you are self-isolating.
  • You should self-assess your health based on your own age and susceptibility to infection and clinical vulnerability and those in your household or bubble. Please make yourself aware of the public health guidelines.
  • Share this information with people who are attending the match with you.
  • Tickets are not transferable. You must not pass on or sell tickets to any other individual or group.
  • Allow adequate time for entry procedures
  • Please do not congregate with other friends or fellow supporters on your way to, or outside the grounds before or after the match. Always comply with the current Government Covid-19 health advice and measures.

At the Match

  • The use of face coverings is required for all spectators (including those who have been vaccinated) and must be used in all areas of the ground.
  • Please observe social distancing of at least two metres and avoid close contact with others.
  • Bring your own hand sanitiser and practice good hand hygiene.
  • Please observe good respiratory etiquette; always cover your mouth / nose if needing to cough or sneeze.
  • Remain in your allocated seat and keep movements around the grounds to a minimum.
  • If you need to leave your seat, wait for a time when the aisle is clear and follow the signage and instructions of stewards.
  • When accessing the facilities, please ensure you comply with stadium signage and instructions of the stewards. Please be patient and maintain a distance of two metres while queuing.
  • Avoid hugs, handshakes and any close contact with those who are not in your social bubble.
  • Be mindful of others when cheering or celebrating.

After The Match

  • Please follow the instructions of stewards, and/or PA announcements.
  • Do not congregate with other friends or fellow supporters outside the stadium.
