Armagh GAA Chairman, Michael Savage paid tribute to the late John Morrison, he said,
“It is with great sadness that Armagh GAA learn of the death of our good friend John Morrison. Father of our former senior football goalkeeper and current U17 goalkeeping coach Paddy Morrison.
“John was a member of our Public Relations and Coaching & Games Committee, he was also Head Coach of Armagh Senior Football Team in the 1990s and has been a permanent fixture in coaching circles throughout the county over this past 40 years.
“He will be dearly missed by all, especially in the press box at the Athletic Grounds. We send our deepest sympathy to the Morrison family and his club Armagh Harps.”
