Feel like this Armagh team have made huge strides with Geezer from the shambles at Brewster last year. One concern I have is the role Donaghy is playing at the minute. An excellent servant to Armagh football but doesn’t have the speed to man mark and as a sweeper did decent but the likes of Greg McCabe for me must feel hard done by. Down are not a great side and I’m thinking of later on in the summer against a more attacking team this could catch us out.

Can have no complaints about down red card, player safety is number one priority and Mooney could have taken his head off with that reckless tackle. Armagh, at times, were very hard too watch. I can’t understand the team selection and substitutes made by management. 3 soft goals conceded against a poor down side. On the basis of what I have seen last night and tonight Cavan should best armagh by a couple of points. Only positives out of today’s game was we seem to have found a star in young O’Neill, burns is well fit to compete at inter county level, and that Murnin is some target man inside

Folks, what's the view on the Mooney red card- would call it harsh .
Some slabbers on here are quick to jump on the “let’s sack the manager” bandwagon before the game is even over. Just do one ffs.
Everyone knows Armagh find it hard to break down a defensive team and if you where at the game Armagh Paul you'd have seen that Down played 15 behind the ball. To kick 2-17 against a defensive team is nothing to laugh at.
Yes our experience players never showed up but what a performance from O’Neill & Burns two of the youngest players on the field really stood up and took the game to down. Young nugent another young lad making his first championship debut and played really well.
Lets put a lid on the mcgeeney bashing for the time being and enjoy our first Ulster championship win in 5 years even more sweeter whenever it down we beat.

He definitely lead with the elbow, bbc camera didn’t show the right angle. New rules in from last week anything dangerous at head high is a straight red.
