Poor shooting cost cross today, bit rich in my opinion for anyone in armagh to slate them back to back champions so if cross are naive or shocking bad what does that say about the rest of us?
I'm not from cross and they regularly hammer Armagh teams but have proven even with all their great players they can't beat what would be called average Ulster teams, clontibret, ballybay and trillick are not in same league as kilcoo and glen, I always like crossmaglens style of play and cheer them on as they play the right way but I did expect a win

The Trillick player didn't get it for nothing from Clarke you could see that senting off from a mile away with him on a yellow card & Trillick players at Clarke

Cross exceptionally poor
So many of them were second best
Trillick are ok but can't see them going any further
Didn't score in the second half

Well done to cullyhanna
Stuck at it and great free at the end from Aidan Nugent

Cullyhanna just deserved their win against a very decent Pomeroy team, but I felt Cullyhanna were the stronger more clinical team in the second half and the kick to win it off the weaker foot was fitting. Some interesting match ups in the game which will only bring Cullyhanna on. Casey scored a whopping point also with the left peg from about 50 yards just when the game was in the melting pot, this lifted the whole team. They will be hard to beat going forward.

Cross game was disappointing, especially as frost bite had set in by that stage. First half was even enough with a lot of things going wrong for Trillick once they reach the shooting zone, it looked like Cross had their measure. It must be stressed that they were overly reliant on AK to create anything, he actually looked up one time in frustration and there were no options.

Second half was forgettable from a cross point of view, Trillick got the key men on the ball and dropped their corner forwards a little deeper. They had the pace to trouble Cross. As bad as they were they were still as dogged as ever to break down. But Trillick stuck to the task and Brennans we cheeky outside of the boot one put the nail in the coffin. By that stage Clarke had lost the plot, he had supposedly lashed out before the red incident which went unpunished and then he clearly busted O'Donnell judging by the way he was helped off the pitch and straight to the medical room.

Most of the Cross big players just weren't up to the challenge, felt it was way too soon for young O'Neill and the other two were very ordinary. Was also disappointed in Cian albeit it he was well marshalled in a game were space was of the minumum. What is the story with Fitzpatrick only coming on? Fitness maybe?

Trillick had a good defensive structure and Cross just couldn't break a line, Morgan would have excelled in that game as he would certainly have had a go at it. Hard to see Trillick being at the level of Glen or Kilcoo and they are dependent or 3 or 4 players, better teams will be able to snuff them out.

I eventually thawed out by Ballygawley and called into Austins for a decent portion of chips. I met more Armagh ones in there than I did at the match

Cross awful last night. Armagh club football in a poor place. People on here moan about why mcconville doesn’t get on for armagh, from watching last night I understand why. I also don’t see where Oisin starts for armagh next year. I know he’s only coming back but for me he doesn’t start.

Well done to cullyhanna hopefully they go on and win the thing and give Armagh football a bit of positivity

That was atrocious from Cross. Would always have had Rian up there with the best players in Ireland but hes been on a bad run for a long time, ordinary for Armagh all year and anonymous in county final and last night. Only 2 players Cross had were Kernan and Clarke lads on the wrong side of 35. Shows how bad Armagh club football is.

Jamie must have hit your man some dig.

Pathetic performance from Cross. An exact repeat of the Ballybay game last year and still no idea what do against a packed defense. Once again a terrible look for Armagh senior football where their senior champion is hardly competitive in the first round of Ulster.

Rian O’Neill is talked up as one of the best players in the country, but looked like he didn’t belong on the field in a club match. County players like Cumiskey, Oisin, and McConville completely anonymous as well.

Have to question the management as well when a team that talented can’t even get a shot off against an underdog opponent. Thought it was asking too much of Aaron O’Neill to start that game, and thought Hughes substitution was harsh unless he was injured

I’ve got an urge to watch ‘Robin Hood, Men In Tights’ after that Kilcoo match. Not sure why.

Glad to see them out though. They’ve hardly endeared themselves to the GAA public in recent times.

Beggan is some striker of a ball though.

I'd agree with some of this, I think it's poor management or maybe trying to hard or over complicating things because they havent won against a defensive team in Ulster for a while, a team with Morgan, hughes, Rian and oisin, cumiskey, mcconville and Clarke should do far better imo,
