Silverbridge beat us today, 0-13 to 2-3. Although Silverbridge were worthy winners, our lads will look back on a few 'what might have beens'. I thought we had most of the possession in the first half, playing into the dressing room goals but were guilty of poor shooting, putting something in the region of 7 or 8 shots into the keeper's hands. Silverbridge on the other hand were very economical with their shooting and as we approached half time they began to dominate and added three late points to go in 7-1 up.

They managed to take an 8-1 lead early in the second half before we scored a rather fortuitous goal - a shot to the net after an effort for a point came back off the post. From memory, the Bridge made it 0-9 to 1-1 before we got a second goal and suddently our tails were up. We added the next two points to pull level and our lads were now on the front foot. However we could not get our noses in front, and were guilty of taking the wrong options on a couple of occasions. The Bridge finished the match strongly and scored three points in as many minutes as we ran out of steam and they got home in the end by four.

Like I said, Silverbridge worthy winners, but I feel our lads will look back on that first half when we probably should have gone in at least level at half time, on the basis of chances created. Wasn't to be though. Our game against Clann Eireann will still have to be played as they have an opportunity to progress.

We were lucky enough to get past Silverbridge on Sunday. Neither team looked great but the Bridge made a mess of a fair few goal chances that probably would have won it for them. Big improvement needed if we are to give Cross a game this weekend.

Cross also struggling to find a clinical performance during the grp stages showing more in 2nd periods of latest games but sure kileavey will make it a good contest in Atletic grds long season for these lads

Nice way to end the season off. We may be in a bit of a lull but junior and senior league, u16 and u21 champions. Still a decent season by most clubs standards

Disappointing day for us on Sunday, but Cross were worthy winners. 4 points down at the break, we had a great ten minutes at the start of the second half and clawed it back level. Conceded a very sloppy goal and Cross kicked on from there - the power, skill and athleticism of the O’Neill brothers was the difference between the sides in my opinion, we just couldn’t get a grip in the middle. Congratulations to Cross.
