I would be interested to know why the fixture has been changed, not that it makes any difference to the game itself. It's one we just have to win. I've taken a real dislike to Fermanagh over the last few years and the thought of them winning promotion against us is a horrible one. At the same time it's remarkable how well they are doing with the players they have. They have a couple of top players like Cullen and Donnelly and the rest work perfectly to the suffocating system they try to drag you into and then catch you on the break.

I think there's a bit of frustration on our part as fans, as we've seen glimpses over the last few years of what we can do and it makes it makes it even more frustrating when you see how a limited side like Fermanagh can succeed when everything comes together for them. Our two main forwards, Campbell and Clarke are only back on the panel this year and are still not back to the level they were from a few seasons ago. Other key players like Murnin, Burns, Rafferty and Hughes are either injured or only making a comeback now. Losing Donaghy has been a huge loss. We've seen the likes of Grugan really struggle with his form, which effects the team's ability to perform, such is his play making importance to it. Our discipline and poor tackling is costing us massively. It's at the stage now where we don't really get the benefit of the doubt on certain decisions from the ref because our track record is so bad. We've chucked away two extra points with the draws against Kildare and Clare that would have us safe at the very least at this point. So I think there are a number of contributing factors to where we are to date. Staying in Division Two should have been our main objective at the start of the league and if we can do that, then it's a positive. Going back to Division Three would be a real kick in the teeth.

So the games have been switched cause of this? It was never a problem when the Macrory cup game was on!
Aye but remember 'Bull that there'll be a much bigger crowd at a NFL game than a MacRory game so it's much easier to move or divert a smaller amount of people

I agree with everything you've said bar the chucking away points against Clare part. We were absolutely robbed that day by the officials. Those 2 goals cost us SIX points on the scoreboard, that is a MASSIVE margin in any game for any team. I realise many supporters on here have discussed the team controlling what they can control & not being in a position where this mattered. However IT DID MATTER. Who knows how the win might have affected confidence & morale going into the Meath match, easier to go again after a win than after a draw which let's be honest felt like a loss. We have had so many decisions go against us I am wondering if we will ever get a rub of the green. Managers & players are held to account for their actions & behaviour, surely this should also apply to officials?

Took a detour on the way home today to Enniskillen. Fermanagh are a well drilled side and their discipline is a lot better than us. They defend in numbers and break at pace with runners coming at angles inside the opponents 45. The only question I ask myself is do they want to get promoted ?
Dont' think they would get any points in division 1.

Perspective is needed.

Yea performances havent been as good as we were expecting coming into the season, but we spent 2 years in division 3- there’s a big difference between beating the likes of Sligo and Offaly and playing super 8 teams.

We were a point away from beating Kildare -super 8s last year.
Robbed aginast Clare who are a better side than most give credit to.
Came back to a point against Meath, who are on the up.
And only beat by a point by the reigning ulster champions.
Not as much of a crisis as being made out.

HOWEVER, we must keep our division 2 status, which means supporters must SUPPORT the players/management these last 3 weeks. No point criticising management ticket, they’re there for the rest of the year whether you like it or not.

(As an aside, Armagh are one of most attacking teams in country, but it’s impossible to play a quick kick passing game against a team that puts 15 men behind the ball, patience is needed)
