Oh, has someone made that joke already?

Anyone else think they've forgotten that GAA games have had spectators or are they just referring to a final?
It's great to have "our" sport back in "our Wee Country". This part of the British Isles has been forgotten by the national BBC media since all the riots stopped. Such a shame not to see Kate Adie reporting in her flack jacket from the hill in dumbcree. At least they pay attention and not just to the Irish sports. Fair play to them. I'll be in Windsor with me green and red fleg, roaring on Mick's Glens team. We've a sniper ready for the Coleraine boyo from the old Londonderry GAA squad. He was no good there and had to turn to the ground ball to get a game. No wonder he chose coleraine! The first in the UK? Are you suggesting we live in the UK?
Sean Cavanagh is amongst us!!!
Think they’re referring to just soccerball, not sport in general.
Doesn't make sense. We should attempt to play all our scheduled games regardless of any incoherent and evidence lacking guidelinesThe Provincial championships & All Ireland games should have been scraped the year in my opinion due to the virus pandemic
You are certain there is something sinister at play? Go on what have you got?Starting to get really pissed off at the total bullshit that is being laid out by both governments, a small bit of research will tell anyone that this pandemic has been flattened. The mainstream media is still portraying death and scare stories at a daily rate. In the north there are currently 17 people in hospital with corona, that 17 out of 1.8 million. Come on how can that be spun any other way. It disappoints me but I am a supervisor within our club and I am still adhering to all the regs. People really need to start to speak up that they won’t take this bullshit anymore. I know the sheep will bleat out the norm and toe the line the establishment want us to but there most certainly something more sinister going on in the background.
Even at that , how many of the 17 were hospitalised because of covid or how many picked it up in hospital and are having no trouble with it?Starting to get really pissed off at the total bullshit that is being laid out by both governments, a small bit of research will tell anyone that this pandemic has been flattened. The ban on supporters in the South is ridiculous. At least 400 up here is ok for club league games bit not for championship. There are cowboys leading both governments. I think the ban on spectators at sports seemed daft when you could visit the pub/restaurant etc. I think things like that aren’t helping people’s attitude towards the pandemic.
However, you can see at matches, lots of fans clearly aren’t socially distancing, and house parties/gatherings are in full force. So, yes I can understand why things have been shut.
I really think it’s got to the stage where a lot of people have thought “feck it, I’m not at risk. I’m going to do what I want”. And that is worrying for everyone and every thing.

What will it be when the county plays?
're the opening of pubs - I think it could and should be as it is for restaurants- sitting at tables only with waiter service. That way pubs can at least be open and crowds can be managed- and any pubs that do not follow the guidelines should be closed.
Like many others - I am thinking the measures are now over the top and should be eased- but I am still wary of it being passed on to elderly relatives.
Better safe than sorry perhaps - but life has yo go on with some kind of normality.
This is where our views would differ, personally I believe if your happy to take the risk and you want to sit/stand beside your friend, family member or neighbour while not socially distancing then you should be aloud to do so. But I also respect the right of people who want to attend the match and don’t want anyone within 2m of them, they should be able to do this. I don’t think there is any of this unwanted contact at club games as the attendances for most games aren’t that large. County games would be different if you let 8000 into the AG for talk sake there would queuing at the turnstiles, toilets etc where the people who want to socially distance would have their personal space invaded. You could easily get 2,000 to 3,000 in to the AG for club championship games, provided they are socially distanced. But as we’ve seen in footage, people aren’t doing that.
Not only that, but how many are car sharing to matches? So, there’s already a chance the virus has spread before they’ve even got to the match.
So, the higher the numbers the head honchos allow to games, the higher the risk of spread from car shares and non distancing.
As for the county games, I can’t see it being more than 400 (at the minute) either. Could even be zero!

Pubs & Restaurants I'm banned from them tooThere are cowboys leading both governments. I think the ban on spectators at sports seemed daft when you could visit the pub/restaurant etc. I think things like that aren’t helping people’s attitude towards the pandemic.
