Disagree. Think Forker has been excellent in the back line. He plays right on the edge and his intensity is hard to match. After being at the game on Sunday and watching the team all summer I really don't understand why Geezer cannot just play Aidan Forker at wing forward.. Going forward this year he's been terrific but he hasn't the pace for corner back when coming up against strong opposition. Feel like Armagh would strengthen with him at wing forward and either a McCambridge, Morgan or Connaire Mackin in defence. Good to see options all over the field and I like Higgins at 3 and McKay at 6.
We won't know until next Monday when the draw is madeIs the Armagh QF definitely going to be a Saturday?
Soupy played as a forward and was directly responsible for us conceding 1-1.He never wins a ball out in front.. Too slow, plus the way Armagh play he'll be coming from deep onto the ball.. I can see the top teams exposing him in Croker. Sunday twice Galway attacked him and went passed him to easy for scores.. It is broke. Did you forget Armagh where relegated and threw away an Ulster title. Still alot of improvement needed.
I think every Armagh fan is delighted for the team. I have and remain critical of Armagh management but I will be delighted if they prove me wrong and win Sam with the best team since 2002 in my view. Everyone has a view point and we must be more willing to listen on both sides of the argument. I thought Forker was very good myself yesterday but I can see the point punt kick made.Soupy played as a forward and was directly responsible for us conceding 1-1.
So how does Forker playing there prevent teams from passing 'him to easy for scores'. Don't think it does.
To he honest I thought Forker was one of your best players on Sunday so don't understand where the criticism stems from.
Certainly don't remember him being passed easily for scores.
I accept we got relegated and lost an Ulster final (on penalties). Would Forker playing forward prevented that. Think it's a pretty resounding no.
If your argument is that he is not good enough to play in the back line then surely he should just be dropped all together.
And love how it only took less than 24 hours for the negative comments to come out

I do not see any need for (or prospect of) moving Forker into the forwards. He is a core part of the defensive system and comes forward very effectively at times.I accept its his view and he entitled to express it.
I wholeheartedly disagree with it and think Forker playing anywhere other than the forward would be a disaster.
The modern game actually puts more responsibility on forwards tracking men. Look at Sean Kelly yesterday for Galway, he was a serious threat going forward.
Would argue that Forker playing in forward line would probably defensively leave us more exposed if teams target him and have somebody like a Kelly running off him for 70 mins.
Play Rian out around the middle! Great ball winning abilities, great passer and there for the long frees. Here is one to ponder. Turbo; this year a way, has okayed a lot better without rian in the team. How do management fix that conundrum
Geezer mentioned he hoped to have Morgan back. Even referred to him as MorgyI do not see any need for (or prospect of) moving Forker into the forwards. He is a core part of the defensive system and comes forward very effectively at times.
BUT - I do think it is very important that our "lesser defensively minded" players are not left in a one on one situation in our defence.
I thought Soupy was very good up front yesterday but he did let Kelly go past him too easily without a tackle and another time he let a forward in behind him for an easy point .
I accept that the system requires most of our forwards to get back and defend, but ideally we would keep the likes of Soupy and Murnin up front so as to keep the opposition defence on their toes (and let our fitter, younger players do most of the tracking back).
On a separate matter, what is the injury update on McCambridge and Morgan - 2 players I would love to see fit for Croker. McCambridge was a very effective man marker during the league, so it would be good to have him for the QF. Same with Morgan.
No idea, blindfold Turbo so he can't see Rian. Joking aside I think there could be fireworks yet with both of them. Here is one to ponder. Turbo; this year a way, has okayed a lot better without rian in the team. How do management fix that conundrum
Only for the winner!!Will there be an open draw for the final as well?
Ok. Wouldn't dream of it!!But don't quote me on it
Jeez Niall. I'm getting more and more convinced I'm talking to you personally off of here. That's 3 times in the last week or so you've posted something I said that day. Only thing is I doubt if you're my wifeHere is one to ponder. Turbo; this year a way, has played a lot better without rian in the team. How do management fix that conundrum
I see. Makes sense I suppose.Only for the winner!!
