That’d be my team for championship. 6 forwards that can score.

If you were going to give a young lad a debut, Cork was the place to do it. Maybe McCambridge had that bug. He’s probably our best man marker and Donegal clearly have a number of excellent forwards that needed marking. That’s probably the biggest indicator that we weren’t all out yesterday tbh.

If we play like we did for that 10 minute spell near the end for a full 70 we would tank that Donegal team so while yesterday was very disappointing I wouldn’t be overly worried.
The Irish News on Saturday said that McCambridge was out.
The 10 minute spell was fine, but there was 15 awful minutes in the second half before that where we fell behind, that was the problem.

Who wasn't available for us today?
Maybe Conor O'Neil, Grimley. Any others who would push for a place on the first 15?
I think we had nearly everyone we want togged out today and available to play.
Morgan. Rafferty. What has happened to OHanlon? Cumiskey?

Will Rafferty replace Blainne, who has been excellent?
Will Morgan play again?
Cumiskey seems to have left, and O'Hanlon not near first 15.
So we basically have very near our full squad available

Hopefully not. Rafferty a good sub to bring on outfield imo. Good fielder and can kick a point from distance.

Cumiskey still there, but supposedly not getting on A or B team in training.

"Darragh McMullan should not have started today having not played a single second of league football."

Walter Walsh made his debut for Kilkenny hurlers in the All-Ireland Final.
Not even remotely comparable.

Kilkenny were going for 8 All Irelands out of 9 that day, which they achieved. A powerhouse of a team, fully aware of what would and wouldn't work for them.

And us, a good chance of winning what could be described as "respectable" silverware since 2008...it wasn't the time for experiments.

I will again caveat that the bug may have played a part and that I think young Darragh is a good footballer who could have a bright future with us.

What we have seen over the past 2 or 3 years suggests there is loads of football in this team and we have players capable of stretching and opening up teams. Why they are set up to play so Conservatively is so so frustrating. We can pick holes in team selection and mistakes made at certain times but in my opinion our shortfalls over the past few seasons all come from the same place, the style of play and the set up that instilled by the management and coaching team.

Was just thinking there- for all our tactics and set plays and structures etc- which does have its place- we’re by far and away at our best when the game is for lack of a better word absolute chaos. The comeback spell against Galway in 2022, parts of the Monaghan game in 2021 (other than conceding goals lol) and that ten minutes yesterday.

When we take that handbrake off, move the ball with purpose we look a different team.

If you think P Burns won't start you won't get fullback line right as he's nailed on.

Turbo is still our top scorer and expect him Murnin Conaty as the FF line.

Crossmaglen, when wishing Armagh well at the weekend on twitter included Cumiskey in the tweet so he's still about the panel. Not sure why we haven't saw him.

What's the story with Stephen Sheridan. He left the panel but he was on the pitch with the squad after the game yesterday. Has he taken on a coaching role?

Noticed him with a book in his hand coming out for the second half. Probably some sort of involvement with the backroom team

Got to feel for the group of players around the 30 bracket. Grugan forker soupy murnin Morgan etc. No medals for their superb efforts throughout the years. Yesterday was their big chance to win something major at croke park and the management bottled it on them. Not sure now if they will ever get to win something with Armagh.
